Weary eyes flickered over to the clock that sat upon her desk. It was... two in the morning, was it? Was she, perhaps, caught up in a dream? A hand came up to her face in order to pinch her cheek. Ouch. That certainly hurt, which meant this was no dream. Shawl was readjusted around her shoulders as she rubbed an eye. It was a good thing her mother wasn't home yet again. If she heard such an outrageous villainous voice, she would have called the cops immediately.

Uncertain what else to do, she glanced at the offered hand then turned around to look at Peter, who had woken up due to the sudden arrival of this strange company. Poor thing. She looked back to the other and tilted her head in confusion for a moment. Actually, how in the world did he even reach her window??

"I'm afraid I won't be going anywhere, not unless my rabbit comes with us, Mister Pajamas~"

The preparations had taken longer than anticipated; the girl wasn’t a professional singer like most of the songstresses that he’d abducted before, just someone whom he’d overheard singing and his machine seemed to react momentarily. There was no reason that his Fairy Tale Songstress had to have a career, it would actually make it the more fantastic: just a common girl, able to attain the impossible. It could be merely wishful thinking, the fancy of a man trying to reach his own dream by any means necessary, yet it would be nice if it was the truth. The girl seemed nonplused about his grand entrance, perhaps despite the light in the window signaling she was still awake it also could mean that she was going to bed? Well, she might have this sorted soon enough – the request of being accompanied by her pet was an unusual one but compared to some divas it was a relatively harmless one.

“oh, you want to know a little bit more about me?          Well that’s something I would expect to hear or...ahhh it’s probably not a good idea. My life’s quite simple.” Partially wanting to brag about it was his way of dodging those questions when it comes to his own family. Their habit of pushing expectations, trying to wed the Gautier heir before other highly Crest families was a pain. All of those families and their children were bred to take pride in their mark but they didn’t see the real male in front of them. Status, power, greed...and enrichment were all the things they saw in Sylvain. No wonder it was simple enough playing the flirtatious villain and hitting on every woman at plain sight than talking seriously. Yet with someone like her, those shoulders started to ease down and eventually learned they’re not too different from each other. It was still difficult to touch on that subject --- none of it being her own fault. But he’s noticed the other’s efforts of reaching out, feeling this might have been unfair if the male has heard her own secrets slowly. “It’d be nice if it was simple for both of us.” The academy delivered some comfort into everyone’s mind and brought some new companions with the professor’s help.

Thinking about it in that perspective made Sylvain reconsider it, laying back just to relax on those thoughts. “...I don’t really like my Crest, Bernie. Well it’s more of I hate how others only see me for it. I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I wasn’t born with one like my brother. Maybe I’d be the one they toss to the side, and probably a little happier.” Being valued over a small marking wasn’t fair and recalled the day the heir was preferred long ago. It...brought a bad taste to his tongue, even after those words of hate were remarked by his former brother. “You can hardly tell if someone only gets interested you for your Crest or not. So it’s safer to be a flirt, Bernie. You can’t win or lose which is better to stay in the middle.”

“Miss-!?” Consider this a day of normalcy, despite the rising concern in Sophie’s voice. As, for some reason, in the life of the Hatter, someone launching themselves from a second-story window and landing flat in the bushes below was by far more normal than anything else. The bottom of her grey skirt caught between her hands, the copper-haired teenager sprinted forward into the foilage while the street was miraculously empty of other passersby. “How in the world do you not have a concussion--? What am I saying? You might!” 

Taking a moment to drag a long inhale and exhale, the hatmaker was already pushing away the branches tangled in the other’s form. Taking as much caution as not to make direct contact, she tried accommodating as much as possible. “What even sent you flying out there--?” Eyes squint at the opened window from the seemingly abandoned home. Eerieness stirred in her stomach, but she persisted in her priorities: the human before her. "Nevermind that, please let me help you on your feet."

Whatever shall I do~? ❞ Che’nya snickered to himself as he may or may not have cut class from RSA to be here to visit Riddle and Trey of course! This seemed to be more interesting at the moment.

   ❝ Now, where can you be wandering off to? ❞ he inquired stealthly approaching the doll only for it to run the instant he got close enough to touch it. ❝ A chase you want? Then a chase you shall get! ❞ off he went in pursuit of the interesting doll.

“Oh, please wait!” Sonia cried, torn between amusement and shock. When she’d thought of the idea, she’d been sure that a picnic lunch in a local park, not too far from Hope’s Peak Academy, would be an ideal way to spend a day free from classes and tutoring sessions. A cool breeze broke through the day’s usual heat, which brought out plenty of visitors out of doors.

Human and animal. And the a member of the latter, a rabbit, had gotten hold of the lettuce leaf in one of her sandwich halves and was tugging it free from the confines of the fresh bread and assorted other fillings. The princess had to admit the animal was quite determined, seemingly unable to be dissuaded even by her impassioned cry. But she couldn’t bring herself to shoo it away: it really was quite cute, and it reminded her of someone.

“That’s my lunch, but I’d be happy to share it if you ask,” She sighed, shaking her head with a smile. Manners did matter, but it was entirely possible the animal was simply too hungry for niceties. It reminded Sonia of the Four Devas, whenever they were particularly starving (or simply acted as such, knowing that the Ultimate Princess would be suckered into feeding them). “Are you one of Tanaka-san’s beasts?”

She spoke to it as if she expected the rabbit to answer her in plain Japanese. Or French. Or Italian. Or English, or a variety of languages she’d be able to decipher and thus communicate with it. But instead, prize locked in its mouth, it seemed to have a human companion already as a girl, likely close to her in age, was nearby.

“Ah, pardon me!” Sonia called, as loud as she needed to be to hopefully be heard. Shouting in Japan was very rude and out of the ordinary, and she was trying her best to blend in to appear as common as anyone else, blonde hair and heavily accented Japanese aside. “Is this your rabbit? I believe they may have been feeling a bit ravenous.”
