Ridgephos Fan Fiction.
It was about dusk, yes dusk when the adventurer went out. He wasn't a professional adventurer, his friend was more of one then him. But he still liked to go out, careful not to stray far from home. He walked slowly through the foliage. It was autumn, so the ground was covered it dead or dying leaves. It made it hard to sneak up on things.
There was one thing that this man liked to see, that was the stars. It made him think of home. He did not know what was stopping him from building a rocket ship and trying to get back home. but what ever it was it must be strong. This man was known as Xephos, Xephos the space man. Or so his friend called him.
Xehpos walked slowly and tiredly through the forest. The late rays of the sun catching is face from behind the trees. It did not bother him that much. Xephos was going some where, no question about that. It was always the same place he went to, around the same time, once a week. He did not know why he went to this place, there was just something...different about it. He always had the feeling that somebody was watching him.
The spaceman was dressed nicely in his usual clothes. He'd make sure to wash them every now and then, unlike his friend who barely wore clothes! His dark red jacket was undone, so he could feel the wind on his chest and neck.
Xephos was close on reaching his destination when he felt like someone was watching him. This feeling happened all the time. Was it that strange demi-god that Lividcoffee had spoken off few times? Strange how this was the first thing that came to Xephoses mind. He wanted to know more about him. Right then, at that very moment he decided on something. He would find this man and learn about him, his powers more or less.
He could hear the running of the stream that he knew so well. The spaceman climbed up a small hill, to see the stream. It was a quiet place, apart from the usual chirping of birds and the running water. Xephos stood on the hill for a few moments, it would be dark soon. He headed down the hill and towards the stream.
Xephos crouched down beside the cool running water. He knew that this stream would most likely freeze over, or stop running turning winter. But that didn't bother him much, he would just have to find something else to do with his time.
His hands dipped into the water and splashed back up onto his face. The cool water dripped off of his nose and ran down his jacket. The spaceman sat down by the stream. His eyes scanning the area for any nasty monsters around. He didn't bring his trusty old sword with him this time. He'd been coming here enough to know that he wouldn't need it.
A rusting in the bushes caught it attention. Strange... He kept his eye on the bush, soon enough what was hiding there revealed its self. Nothing but a small helpless rabbit hopped out of the bush. Xephos rolled his eyes at himself and went back to looking up at the sky. "Such a pretty site..." The spaceman mumbled to himself as a few starts began to make themselves visible.
"I guess it is", Xephos froze. Whos voice was that? He'd never heard it before. He did not dare look around. Something inside of him was telling him to, and he couldn't fight it. He turned around slowly to see nothing but the hill behind him. "You're hearing things..." He said to himself shaking his head. He had not been sleeping lately, so he put it down to that.
"Are you?" There it was again! That voice. Xephos stood up and stumbled slightly and fell back down. "Am i?" The spaceman was getting confused now. Was all this just his mind playing tricks on him? "Hello?" The spaceman said looking around in front of him, not thinking to look behind him.
"Greetings spaceman", The voice said. Xephos knew right where it was coming from and turned around with great speed, hoping to see him this time.
A tall, well built figure stood still behind him. A smile plastered onto his face. His hair was dark brown with a curled part at the very front. He was dressed fancy, like he was going to a party or something. Xehpos was surprised that this man knew is title that his best friend had given to him. "H-...Wh-..." He struggled to find the words to ask this person who he was.
"Ridgedog", The man said. "Or just Ridge".
"Xephos..." The spaceman mumbled. His eyes widened when he figured out who this man was, he was the demi god! "You! Y-y-you! You're the demi god!" Xephos yelled as he scrambled for his feet.
"You could call me that..." Ridgedog said smiling and he floated up into the sky and crossed his legs over, obviously showing off to the spaceman. "H-how, did you do that? Do you have a jet pack or something?" The spaceman said confused.
"No", Ridgedog answered bluntly.
"LividCoffe said that i...We...WE should stay away from you!" Xehpos said quickly as he reached for the nearest large stick he could find.
"Oh did he now", Ridgedog said floating back down and grabbing onto the stick that Xephos had just picked up. "A stick will do nothing..."
Xehpos froze as he grabbed the stick. His fingers where still wrapped around the stick quite tightly. His eyes where locked onto the demi gods bright blue eyes. He could see himself in them. A warm feeling over come his hand. He turned back to look at his hand to notice Ridgedog holding it tighter then he was holding the stick.
"What are you-", Xephoses words where cut off as Ridgedogs other hand was put over his mouth.
"You speak nothing of this encounter to anyone," The demi god said. "They cannot know that i am here." He said. "I'll be here...waiting for your return,"... And with that the Demi god some what vanished into thin air. Xephos fell back down onto the ground, half of him landing in the cool water of the stream.
