The pictures are what help Malia Tate with the MEMORIES. Shestares at the smiling faces of her younger sister and mother and she remembers.Things like the way her sister would sneak into her room when she was scared orhad a nightmare. The pictures remind her of the smell of her mom when shehugged Malia so tightly, honey and vanilla. The way the three of them couldlook at each other and know exactly what was on the others’ minds. The pictureshelp, but they do not bring them back. They are still gone and it’s still Malia’sfault. She does not remember that night; she does remember how it felt orexactly what happen. All she knows is they are gone and she is still here withnothing but pictures to remind her.
