“Looked better on the fl-OH...” She said aloud to herself with a sigh as she shook her head, her thumbs already flying across the keypad of her phone. She honestly wasn’t used to comments like that.

“Hello again...” Cue the soft purring... before realizing what he was doing and pouting.

“I-I mean... hey, where the heck have you been? n-not that I care or anything...”

His uncle had been invited to the gathering, not him, but Riku had been forced to come with him, anyways. He hadn’t been told where he was going or who was hosting it or anything, he’d just been dressed up and told that they were going. Riku was on his best behavior for as long as he could be, but he could only be entertained by stories he didn’t understand and people he didn’t know for so long, and he left his Uncle’s side to go explore.

As far as he could tell, no one saw him leave- or, if they did, no one cared- so, he just continued to walk along with his hands in his pockets. Looking at the fancy paintings and trinkets but never touching, he was smart enough to know not to.

Riku growled as he was thrown out of the house. He was kicked out again for the day because of back talking to his father about a stupid thing. He stood there for a few minutes debating if he should say sorry and ask to be let back in, but he knew it wouldn’t happen. Plus he wasn’t allowed back in till supper time. He headed to a nearby park in the city near some offices, where a few kids were ganging up on a little kid. This ticked Riku off more. He walked over to the kids and the next thing he knew he was in a fight.
