Xenith (Alucard) Bloodspire!! (Alucard is his middle name, he just doesn’t care to write it down most of the time)
No, he was not born a vampire, physically impossible! However, as a young boy, around 2, he was abandoned by his mother who had him due to an affair and wanted no evidence of her affair, subsequently abandoning him at the doorstep of the largest and most powerful vampire coven in Briar Valley, before returning home to her husband who believed her to have had a miscarriage. Technically, he has siblings, not that he knows of them, they’re likely dead by now anyway. And so, the vampires raised him until they deemed him ready to be turned and join the Bloodspire coven at the age of 17, meaning he now perpetually looks of such age. He was more than happy to, honestly, he had always felt weird about being the only one to eat cooked meats in the manor anyway. Still, to this day, the Bloodspire coven goes on, still powerful, but still petty at the fact that the Draconia’s got to the throne before they did, and have been plotting behind Xenith’s back to kill Malleus so they can finally take the throne. This plan of theirs ended up going quite well since they found Xenith had magical capabilities, and was eventually taken to NRC, where he writes home daily.
While the vampires are cruel and typically remorseless beings, they do see each and every vampire that was turned into their coven as one of their own, so they really do want to see Xenith thrive. Though maybe not exposing him to the outside and humans was a bad idea…
Sure, sun doesn’t actually burn them! Just… incredibly uncomfortable to be under, and results in either needing an umbrella, or simply not going out in it; think of it like how a rash feels - hot and irritating - but all over the parts of your body that aren’t covered constantly until you get in shade.
Anyway! I love vampires, and yeah, he’s based on the Horned King from the Black Cauldron, I was planning on giving him like a thorn-like headpiece but I didn’t like how all the sketches turned out :3
