As of recently...For the longest time Hartley had been pining after a young man named Khleo Baker. At first, there was flirting and constant back and forth of bantering. However, after a long time of Hartley not seeing Khleo as much, Khleo had found himself someone new to preoccupy his time with, Orin O'Brien, and Irishman who was enamored too like Hartley with Khleo's beautiful glow. Over time, Hartley accepted the relationship between the two men and he backed off (not necessarily, Hartley kept flirting with Khleo despite warnings from Orin). At some point Hartley and Khleo not only developed a friendship but discovered they had strong feelings for each other. During rehearsal dinner for Orin and Khleo's wedding, Hart and Khleo had a 'Heart-to-Heart'. They spoke about how they'd remain friends no matter what the circumstances, and wished they had a time where they could have been lovers--but now it's too late.After the wedding, Hartley found himself restless. He was getting more and more depressed by the fact that someone he was very, very attracted to was getting married. It was even harder knowing that he was forcing himself to remain a friendly person in their circle--he didn't want that, it pained him. It had gotten to the point where during a high moment Hartley confessed his feelings for Khleo, that he had loved him--Orin overheard and there came an argument between them all--Hartley scolded like a child. From then, he promised to keep his inner feelings to himself.However... Khleo had moved to Ireland with his husband, but visited the States every so often. When he first arrived, Hartley was the first to be called. The two men hung out and one then led to another, Hartley couldn't hold back much longer--especially with the tension in the air between him and Khleo.But like all good things, they must come to an end. After Hartley had an affair with Khleo, he assumed Khleo would be leaving his husband for him, evidently that wasn't the whole truth. There was a group gathering at a Hookah lounge and Hartley had already been high (he smokes a lot of weed okay). While conversing with Orin he made the mistake of admitting (hypothetically) that he slept with Khleo, after Orin called Hartley out on constantly trying to pursue his husband Khleo. Once Hartley dug his own grave, Orin retaliated by breaking Hart's nose.**Just a few days later, and visiting the ER to have his nose set--there was Khleo at an Art Show in Brooklyn. Hartley avoided speaking to the guy, but Khleo took it upon himself to confront Hartley about spilling the truth. That was when Hartley realized Khleo had lied to his husband and would never go through with leaving Orin for him. His heart was broken, after all this time and putting himself in a situation he knew he'd regret--it all came crashing down and he felt sick. What had made it worse was Orin had stumbled through, apologizing to Hartley with this naïve look. Hartley felt bad for Orin, to be subjected to this sort of mind games--the both of them. But he was angered, and he thrashed out on Orin. It had gotten to a point where Khleo had to intervene before Hartley would become violent--instead of taking his anger out on the other two, Hartley smashed his fist against a brick wall.He told Khleo and Orin to stay out of his life, because he couldn't live with another broken heart again.** - Orin is 6'1 and Khleo is 6'2 (Hart is 6'5)
