Alva Noto - Xerrox (Box Set)
As the Combat King strolled through the uncertified territory, he was simply taking a walk to gather his thoughts. Suddenly, he spotted . . . a figure ?
He continued walking, thinking it was just in his head. But when he really thought about it, he actually checked, and it was... b.xerroz. Oh.
It was b. Xerroz . . . He really thought he could use his dummy for things mentioned, but he didn't even want to think about it.
Xerroz looked sad. He had spoken to Port and remembered correctly that Port seemed emotionless due to certain events in his past. Yet, Xerroz felt a deep sadness. Were they at least okay? Did they truly realize they were in uncertified territory?
[This is for my redesign au and wanted to do this for the shits and giggles and maybe make this canon lol]
(The king observes the betadev.
He rathers not reveal himself.
Not yet.
He stays behind a tree.
Just looking into the distance and listening for anything.
Why would such a emotionless figure suddenly display such.
And why did it decide to wander the dark forest surrounding the uncertified territory in the first place.)
Alva Noto: Xerrox Nausicaa ( Xerrox, Vol.5 )
In Xerrox Nausicaa, Alva Noto immerses us in a sonic world that blends the emotional with the technological, marking a pinnacle in the Xerrox series. The track opens with soft layers of digital textures that unfold with hypnotic slowness, evoking a melancholic and futuristic atmosphere. The minimalist production, a hallmark of Noto's style, focuses on subtle nuances, where each tonal shift or vibration carries significant weight, inviting the listener to a deeply introspective experience.
The concept of Xerrox Nausicaa seems to be inspired by the intersection of the human and the artificial, as if the sounds were fragments of memories digitally reconstructed. The composition progresses without a traditional rhythm, allowing the textures to evolve organically. This reinforces a sense of vastness and emptiness, like a journey through abstract landscapes. The piece, though abstract, succeeds in conveying a clear emotional narrative, which is a remarkable feat in the realm of experimental music.
The aesthetic of Xerrox Nausicaa remains true to the series' style, but with a more pronounced emotional depth. Here, Noto achieves a flawless balance between technical precision and artistic sensitivity, where synthetic sounds are not merely cold and clinical but also warm and evocative. This can be interpreted as a dialogue between machine and soul, offering the listener a space to reflect on the nature of memories and emotions in a digital age.
