Scream! Cry! Wave your banner! One Direction have a film out and everyone has gone slightly loopy. Yes, even us. 'But Tatler, you're not teeny boppers,' we hear you cry. Au contraire, darling. I saw the ask about x factor fics and POV. Could you rec a few X factor fics sometime?

Okay here we go!!!

First of all, I truly believe you cannot go wrong with anything by objectlesson.  I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but it’s like everything they write is just so perfectly intense in such a realistic first-love kind of way.  my particular favorites are:

A Little Love (is better than none) - 15k

It’s supposed to be no strings attached sex, but Harry’s in love with beauty and tragedy and Louis Tomlinson so there might actually a few strings they’re not talking about.

Or, alternately, the four times they fuck and don’t kiss, and one time they fuck and do (with a few more times thrown in because I’m a mess and know how to write short fics).

There was a part in this one where I was feeling things along with Harry so strongly it felt like i was going to barf. ahahaha. sorry for being dramatic.

Born to Make You Happy - 25k

Harry makes a quiet vow to himself that he will be the very best girlfriend Louis has ever had, even if he never actually gets to be Louis’s girlfriend.

okay I almost just got distracted reading this one again ahaha.  the description of louis from the beginning from harry’s pov!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhh. 

 Okay here are a few of my other favorites that I was able to find.  A lot of these are pretty short, but I personally fucking love reading about them admitting their feelings for the first time.  it’s the best.

He’s getting to the point where every time he cracks a joke, he’s looking out of the corner of his eye to see if Louis finds it funny. He tries to keep a mental catalogue of every polo he wears that Louis reaches out and touches. He wants Louis to keep a mental catalogue too.

Harry’s journey in realizing that Louis may be just as besotted over him as he is over Louis. X Factor Era, naturally.

Louis has a hate/love relationship with the video diaries. He has a love/love relationship with Harry, though, and the video diaries don't help with that at all.

oh my god read this one if you have not!!! Louis gets self conscious about how transparent he is in the xfactor video diaries and it is SO GREAT!

Louis doesn't know it yet, but years from now, he'll still associate Harry with fireworks. Not because of any clichéd reason like the way it feels when they kiss and not because of some overplayed song lyric, but because of this, because of the distant light of sparks flying over the London Eye and the way Harry's face looks when he comes apart in Louis' arms for the first time. For his own private, secret reasons, tucked away in the back of his memory and safe from the prying eyes of the rest of the world, Harry and fireworks will always make sense in Louis' mind.

If you were invisible for the day, what would you do? I’d like to say something cool, but I’d probably run into a girls’ changing room at least once.

Blonde, brunette, or redhead? I’m really not fussed. Most of my girlfriends have been blonde, but a good brunette is always nice.

Legs, boobs, or bum? All of them. But I’m more into legs and bums.

Skinny or curvy? Curvy—so there’s more to grab onto!

When did you have your first kiss, and who was it with? I can’t actually remember. I think it was with a girl at school when I was 11.

Do you have any distinguishing marks on your body? I’ve got four nipples. I think I must have been a twin, but then the other one went away and left its nipples behind.

When were you last naked? This morning after my shower... and then twice afterward. (Smiles) I like these questions—they’re a lot more daring than we’re used to!

For looks: I’ll give myself a generous seven.

BAND AID - Groups boosted to help Cheryl

X FACTOR boss Simon Cowell has formed TWO new groups from star solo acts at this year's boot camp - to boost the category Cheryl Cole is tipped to mentor.

The music mogul, 50, has made four female soloists into a girl band and five single males into a boy band.

He was helped by stand-in judge and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 32, and long-time judge Louis Walsh, 57.

Their aim is to give Geordie Cheryl, 27 - recovering from lifethreatening malaria - a pool of talent to work with if she's up to taking on the bands.

Bosses on the ITV1 hit also want to see if Cheryl - who has won with the girls and boys categories - can work her magic on the groups. An insider said: "Nothing's finalised about who gets which category but if Cheryl is up to dealing with the groups they want to give her the best people to choose from.

"It's a difficult category to get right, but not impossible, as JLS showed two years ago."

Cheryl could have her work cut out because the bands, with Louis as mentor, flopped badly last year.

She'll have to mould the brandnew boy band - starring Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles. And the girls - Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane and Sophia Wardman - are also certain to need a lot of work.

Cheryl, below, and new mum Dannii Minogue will be back for the judges' houses stage.

Eight acts will make the stage instead of the usual six, but only three in each category will go through to the live finals.

Cheryl's illness has seen her miss boot camp and some auditions, but she is expected to discuss this year's hopefuls with the other judges soon.

Dannii, at home in Oz with baby Ethan, will also be briefed and sent DVDs of all her acts' auditions before she meets them at the judges' houses stage.

The insider said: "The situation hasn't been ideal this year, but both Cheryl and Dannii are dedicated to the show and their acts.

"There's no way they'll let things slide. Both hate the idea of Simon winning." X Factor returns later this month.
