No, wait. Hold on.

As previously discussed, today's quote from YAH was "People destined to meet will do so, apparently by chance, at precisely the right moment”, from Ralph Waldo Emerson, teasing the Late Night Talking music video. And exactly (or almost exactly) 12 years ago today, was the day of Harry and Louis' auditions for the judges on the x-factor. That's very likely the day they met.

Now, that got me thinking a little bitt. Both H and L seem to write a lot about the time they met each other, and how it felt. I guess it comes with the package, you know, making it everyone's business when you meet your soulmate at the age 16 and all that. And I've never really paid too much attention to the lyrics of LNT but it totally feels like that initial phase of the relationship… they had so much to talk about, to know about each other, they didn't live together yet, their lives were about to turn upside down.

And then I remembered that famous quote from Jay's interview for Sugarscape, 2012. When she was asked about Harry and Louis' "bromance", that's what she said:

And I'm probably high-fiving god with this interpretation, but hm, Louis was clearly having a hard time with everything during the xfactor. He originally auditioned with Mr. Brightside during the first audition with the producers and then had to change to Hey There Delilah. He was clearly not very confident with his voice, rarely singing many solos. Louis was temporarily sent home during week 5 (although it was later said that he just ran away to Donny). At the judges house, he cut his foot and almost missed the performance. So oof... yeah.

It was today/yesterday after all then. This is all very confusing! It was such a long time ago, that it's hard to find more precise information. But there you go... it couldn't be more clear, especially with the last one.

i want to ask you, how do you think it was their first kiss? how do you imagine the context was like, where were they, at home? it was rushed? one of them prepared a nice meal? they were maybe chilling at home? man i think ive never discussed this with anyone i would kill to know how it was it must have been so so cute 😭

I'm not sure if you've followed my blog for long, but I'm quite certain they got together pretty immediately in the xfactor. If they didn't get together within the first week, they were definitely together by the end of the first month of knowing each other, then going to Robin's bungalow. They were living in the xfactor house, in a room with the other 1D boys. We also know Louis made the first move since H was young and a little shy.

I always say they fell in love at first sight because I really think they did. I mean Louis has said that the first time he met H he knew H would be a star. There's no way he didn't fall a bit in love with him right then. And we've seen them being touchy and close, and allover each other even during bootcamp. They only knew each other for a couple days then. If they hadn't kissed, then there was *intense* teenage flirtation going on. Fast forward a week and they're in the same band living together? Yeah. They fell in love at first sight.

You have to put yourself in that context. They were teenagers, having a wild time and seeing their dreams unfold. There was no planning or home chilling or meals. It was two boys who were extremely into each other in a crazy mess of an environment that was the xfactor. They were together 24/7, trying to steal moments alone.

I mean, I can certainly relate when I think back to my teenage years.

By the time chicken stuffed with mozzarella happened they had already been together for a while. That was at the xfactor kitchen. I bet it was Louis trying to woo H by cooking him something. You know, something nice you do for your partner.

Heck, by the time December came around, they were sending each other love declarations via their pet Twitter accounts. How much more teenage relationship can you get? They were so in love with each other, it was obvious.
