Oh, I've read it alright!! Thor’s incendiary blast catches up with X-Factor and the few remaining Morlocks in the sewers just as they make their final escape. Man, I hope this means we’re finally done with being down in the sewers during this story. I know this is Mutant Massacre, but we’ve been down in the god damn sewers for like 8 straight issues watching Morlocks get massacred. I’m starting to feel a little vitamin D deprived. And it’s not because I haven’t left the house in 2 weeks it’s because I’m reading this particular comic book I swear. (X-Factor #11 – Dec 1986)

I just can’t even. I can’t even cynically berate Cyclops for being a cunt anymore. It’s been non-stop in these issues of X-Factor. He up and leaves his wife in a heartbeat, doesn’t tell Jean he’s married with a child, and then he just withdraws and stews over his own self-pity while everyone else is left wondering what the fuck is going on or if it’s ok to start seeing other people. I’m starting to wish Jean and Warren got together at this point, and I assume they would have if Warren didn’t get kidnapped by Apocalypse to become the fourth horseman of the apocalypse. OOOPS SPOILERS!!! (X-Factor #11 – Dec 1986)

And there’s a weird B-story toward the end of this comic involving the Vanisher and Boom Boom that has absolutely nothing to do with Mutant Massacre. This could not possibly have been more random. We haven’t seen the Vanisher in, Jesus I can’t remember how long. I’m going to have to look it up and put a link to it here later. And Boom Boom appeared for the first time during Secret Wars II when she tried to get into Xavier’s school but then disappeared when everyone flipped out over the Beyonder. Somehow she ended up in the Vanisher’s creepy, pedophilic sweatshop gang of underage thieves. (X-Factor #11 – Dec 1986)

Jesus that came out of nowhere!! “Sir, we have good news and bad news. The good news is your son doesn't have meningitis, it's just a mild cold. The bad news is we’re going to have to cut his legs off.” What kind of hospital did they take Warren to?? Is that Doctor Nick Riviera over there?? I have literally nothing to say about this cover. Cyclops is fighting some Mohawk guy. That’s it. Usually I just skip past the cover if I don’t have anything to say about it but because this is in the middle of a crossover I feel obligated to post all the covers. Here’s this one.
