and othilaodal, maybe the story/word count should be left up to the author unless they want to open up to requests? i was thinking about 1k would be ideal, since it would keep the length even, but anyone should be able to read for however long they want? farther input it greatly appreciated.

2. Favorite piece overall?

eh, that is a hard one, because i am horribly self-critical, but i would have to say i am most pleased with postcards from r'lyeh, the ghost inside you, and constants and variables. mostly, because i think they (kind of) manage to tell succinct, but full, stories. 

6. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?

so so many. i have five or six novel-length dn stories floating around in my head, but am prevented from writing them by busyness/deadlines/laziness. i wrote about 20k of lawlight-afterlife-twinpeaksish-blacklodge-fic before suffering an existential crisis. 9. Favorite character to write?

it's a tie between beyond and wedy. i love beyond, because he is a mystical goth kid, and god knows i am fond of ouija boards and crows and victorian mourning rites and leather-bound books. and wedy, because wedy. wedy wedy wedy,
