A huge day for trans representation. Cocona (they/them, he/him) of XG has come out trans, specifically transmasc and non-binary, after having had top surgery earlier this year.
XG is fucking MASSIVE right now. I'm a big fan. I've recently gotten into them. They're mostly rap/r&b, from what I heard. And they're so fucking good at it. They're not a kpop group, but like Katseye, more of a global group that happens to be known by kpop fans.
Anyway, congrats to Cocona. I know coming out wasn't an easy decision to make, and at such a young age and being in a group, which means decisions like these impact more than yourself. Of course, their group has been nothing but supportive! Even their CEO has made a statement of support. Many many other idols/celebrities have been supportive as well under Cocona's post.
I mean, what a game changer this year has been for queer and trans idols. When I say we used to pray for days like these....
