"Ow! Owowowowowow. Ow. Ow. Ow..."
[; Chandler hums to himself as he makes his way down the sidewalk, kicking up loose gravel with his feet as he watches the rocks scatter away from him. He doesn’t really have a destination that his legs are carrying him to, but he’s content to let himself linger around, feel the sun on his back as he just doesn’t think for once. Usually he wouldn’t be as careless as he is on days like this but, as he looks up at the sky, he realizes that this is a much needed change in his lifestyle.
But then something disrupts his lack of thought— a blur of color coming into his peripheral vision and he looks back down. A girl walking down the stairs of a shop is merely a few feet away from him, carrying what appears to be a box of candy. He’d probably just keep walking along and forget about the pretty stranger sooner or later, but once the girl stumbles slightly with the big package, he finds himself keeping his gaze on her. He really really hopes she doesn’t fall down the flight of stairs— but hoping never really boded well with him. It seems to happen in slow motion when she trips down the stairs, the box falling from her hands as she lands on her butt on the sidewalk. Luckily, she didn’t fall forward, but Chandler still knows it hurts if he can go by the several “ow’s” that slip past her lips. Chandler jogs up to her immediately, forgetting about his time of tranquility as he crouches down next to her side, eyes wide as he examines her features to see if she’s okay. ]
”Hey— are you alright? Where’d you hurt yourself?”
