“Do I talk first or you talk first? I talk first?”
“How about you don’t talk at all?” A lazy hand comes over to cover Codi’s mouth. Silence. That’s what Caelum wanted but does he ever get that privilege when they’re together? Rarely. Tonight, in particular, is harder for Caelum to be tolerable to the woman’s antics. Even while he’s the one that begged to come over on some bogus excuse that he just couldn’t be alone and even promised he’d let Codi buff out his nails no matter how much he “hated” it. He missed her…but in their time apart he’s forgotten how catastrophic their friendship is, how push and pull it is. Caelum just wanted a warm body next to him. He didn’t want anyone prying or tugging him open until he was rolling his eyes on repeat. In hindsight, he probably should have found his company in someone more…quiet.
