i'm SO inconsolably emotional over the fact that the trailblaze trio sleeping together is a common fanart trope. nothing in canon to particularly prompt it, just fandom collectively deciding the three of them are so vulnerable and trusting with each other and sleep together. 🥹 IT'S SOOOOO CUTE I LOVE IT

actually thinking about how dan heng might feel about blade in a romantic/ship scenario is super interesting to explore. like. i usually like ship content of them that's very Divorce or Hatred or Fighting or whatever along those lines. but. just imo thinking abt a more actual romantic renheng. the road to becoming lovers (again) theoretically would really filled with angst and very slow-burn. following the line of thought that dan heng wants to make up for the sins of dan feng and fix whatever things he can, this would encompass learning more about blade's whole Deal and maybe even gaining a sense of sympathy for him. maybe wanting to find a way to restore him from the mara or to finally set him free and fulfill his wish of death. dan heng offered that kindness to bailu, so in this scenario i'm thinking, despite the conflict blade and dan heng have, once dan heng reaches out to blade and explains his side/stops running... he'd also want to help blade to make up for the past and put both of them at ease. imagining blade slowly realizing he wants to live, being shown kindness from imbibitor lunae once again. being vaguely reminded of those times he loved dan feng as yingxing. but dan heng is a different person in his own life, choices, and lived experiences. the mercy dan heng resolves to embody, is a contrast to the destruction dan feng caused at the end of his reign. contrasting the selfishness dan feng felt for yingxing that led to that destruction. imagining blade being confused why dan heng would help him. but then, falling in love with his mercy. the kindness, the humanity extended to one broken by the past and haunted by a curse. blade opening up about his feelings to dan heng and confiding in him about the mire of emotions and thoughts swirling for hundreds of years within him -- dan heng, through his kindness and desire to amend and help, being the only person blade could ever voice those true thoughts to. dan heng shows love and care in a different way from dan feng. and him showing that to blade in an effort to help him mend the brokenness of the past -- they can have a connection of a new making; founded on new feelings and new identity.

i happened upon dan heng's note in his room regarding the xianzhou luofu... particularly the line about how the luofu guards the secrets of immortality extremely strictly against short-lived species, and then thinking about dan feng and his love for a man of a short-lived species. he loved yingxing so much. ough. my heart. dan heng warns against it bc of that past... dan feng went for it wholeheartedly because he couldn't handle grief and loss. god. dan feng was so full of love, that it was his downfall -- of himself and everyone around him. sobbing.

FIRE EMBLEM FANS! similar gameplay being a grid turn based SRPG, but instead of player phase/enemy phase, it's based on turn speed!

XENOBLADE FANS! this game is SO xenoblade adjacent in its plot and music (yasunori mitsuda is there) (i swear it's a long lost sibling to the xenoblade series) (there is a blonde guy named klaus)

BUT EVEN THAT ASIDE if you like sci-fi in your fantasy games, stella glow is great. check out this hot insane scientist lady she's hilarious

VOCALOID AND TOUHOU FANS! the art is by ideolo. to this day i think it's still the only original IP he's worked on as the lead artist!!! he still draws the characters to this day, it warms my heart that the characters are still beloved by him

IDOL FANS! you will love the music (nanjo yoshino, yui sakakibara, emi nitta, maaya uchida, yukari tamura)

one of matt mercer's more distinct/unique performances, also robbie daymond totally NAILS the protagonist role and goes so fucking hard. i Love these two in this game SO much

i think it's absolutely worth mentioning the impact genshin and now HSR have on transmascs if i'm being honest. i've never seen media influence transmascs on this large of a scale before, on top of characters being so widely HC'ed as transmasc on this scale. tbh like the games or hate them, i think that's really notable that these popular games with GNC men designs resonate with so many of us, and even have probably brought a good amount of us to gender realization. especially because other popular media don't portray men like genshin and HSR do

begging more aromantics to play dragalia lost and/or more media to portray love and friendship in a way dragalia lost does that reaffirms aromantics bc i see posts talking abt being "loveless" and how so often the concept of love is intertwined with romance and how friendship love is considered secondary to romance and how that's a struggle but i just!!!! i wish for these people to see such a positive portrayal of love like euden did for me in media they enjoy. that it reaffirms that friendship/platonic/aromantic love CAN be extremely powerful, profound, and important. dragalia is such important aromantic/aroace rep with its protag euden and helped me come to terms w my concept of love being whole, valid, and complete without romance and i really wish that for for others!!! rep is important!!!!! show explicitly aroace characters having the most powerful version of the "power of love!!!!!!!!!" that loving your friends is one of the most important and heartwarming and fulfilling things you can do!!!!!!!!!!
