Stelle's surprised at the confession. Partially because she would not have guessed this man would ever feel that way, and partially because Jing Yuan was telling this to her. Her, of all people? An honor, really. Though she doesn't think that simply stating she believes him to be 'fine as is' would be helpful, the thought that it may ease some other doubts prompts the words anyway.

the moment he had to pick the brain of a decorated war general, gepard couldn't really help himself. he knows this man didn't come to the astral express to talk stratagems and the like, gepard tried to keep it light, but he does gush a little bit the more he learns about jing yuan's accolades in the field. not the mention, just how old the man is...he didn't look a day over thirty. 

perhaps he has been staring. gepard doesn't notice until general cracks a joke. captain immediately flushes, from neck to ears, blue eyes shifting down to his feet as he bows a little like he's insulted the other by staring. 

"sorry! i...i was listening," and he was. intently, in fact. his tactics for morale upkeep are thoughful and genuine, certainly not just a pretty face...doesn't mean he wasn't pretty. 

gepard clears his throat, as if jing yuan could hear his thoughts, "i appreciate your insight, general. i didn't mean to stare...i should leave you be, my apologies." @xiincun

the luofu is dangerous territory for yaoshi , this they know quite well. the reignbow arbiter's followers don't think of them kindly these days , & from what abundance has seen , they don't blame them. that said , lan's pursual of them doesn't seem to stop them from descending like this , verdant gaze trailing along the lines of buildings as they walk.

the closer they stray to the divine foresight , the more dangerous it becomes. despite their reservations , abundance knows they must be here , called by the arbor's reawakening. now , though , there is something else they must deal with , something too dangerous to be ignored by them any longer.

yaoshi pointedly avoids @xiincun's gaze , knowing all too well before whom they stand. this is foolish , far beyond their usual measure. abundance is not normally one to take such matters into their own hands , such dirty work is left to their emanators. but no emanators of abundance exist anymore , perhaps for good reason.
