this is not his mission. he should be out of sight, out of mind — a shadow as invisible as the rest of the elvhen staff. but xim’s looked either miserable, bemused, or both any time he’s looked to check on him and fen can’t help but worry. the shems are cruel and he was not made for this. ❝ are you alright? ❞

    Huh -- another question he’d not yet thought to wonder about. Except elf ears were much smaller than Qunari horns; Cole didn’t think an elf would have trouble putting on a shirt. He thought briefly of watching one, just to see - except Varric said it was rude to watch people like that, when they thought they were alone, so. Maybe not.

    At Ximisaari’s last words, Cole paused, looking at his own hand, the way the fingers moved at his command. “I think about my body sometimes. Except, if you think too much, things don’t work right anymore. Walking is easy until I start thinking about it.” He’d made himself trip once, trying to remember which foot came first. Sera had laughed at him.

                    Skyhold is not the place in which smiles spread frequently. They are at WAR -- humor is few and far between. Bitter jokes, attempts at light-heartedness, but the tension is present on every brow. None so much as their own Inquisitor. Slumped lazily upon a seat in the grand dining hall, the beast watched their leader enter, drawing closer. He wonders idly: how tall must Ximisaari be if the world didn’t weigh him down?

                    Biting a wicked smirk, Jag remains motionless just until the kossith passes him, then reaches out with a quick hand to PINCH HIS REAR, poorly shielded by his Inquisitor gear.
