It was unclear how long she'd been there. Glaring. Silent. Full of anger.
Mobius had been sitting on the couch easily twenty minutes, unaware of the small deity fuming a foot behind him. Her presence was like that. If you didn't know you wouldn't. Death was far subtler than most people gave credit. It and she had the capacity to be so quiet. Inhumanly so.
Finally, when the movie was over and the credits rolled. The screen was mostly black and he would see her standing there. Her pallid skin a nightmarish stain on the dark mirror.
She said nothing. Did nothing. Didn't even notice the movie ended. Her honey gold eyes were trained on the back of his head still. Waiting for him to move. Thinking what she would say when he did.
