Galasynth 2024

My piece for @galasynth! I drew my favorite three gals at the mall. So excited I finally get to share bc this is my proudest work ever so far.

So I’ve seen some stuff on Bluesky about some of the Medium5 girls, and I’m just gonna fill in tumblr about it cause I haven’t seen it anywhere else on here.

- HaiYi AI announcement. I have seen this tbh, just wanted to say I’m super excited and that she has really cute fangs. I love it when character designs have jagged teeth or fangs

- ChiYu AI postponed. Apparent her voice provider didn’t feel comfortable with how she sounded and they delayed her to fix it. Honestly I’m happy with this decision, good on both the dev team for delaying it and the voice provider for saying something

- Xingchen redesign. She’s gonna look a lot more like her vocaloid and I’m very happy about that, it’ll be nice to see her in something other than a glorified swimming costume, plus it looks cute so far.

- Lastly, Yongye isn’t Minus. For the unaware, Medium2050 is a game first and Minus is the main antagonist and seems to be a mirror of Xingchen (hence Stardust Infinity and Stardust Minus). However, Yongye, from the best of my understanding, is a separate concept from Minus, they look similar and sound similar and have similar names but aren’t the same. Yongye isn’t even a part of 2050. However, the purposes of SynthV, Yongye the AI bank is the same as Minus the standard bank. For the purposes of Medium2050, Yongye is non-canon and it’s just Minus.

YOHIOloid is a english japanese synth developed by PowerFX Systems AB. in collaboration with VocaTone, and released in 2013. hes voiced by YOHIO, and illustrated by Sartika Nurhasanah/ Sartika3091. yohioloid was intended to receive an upgrade for vocatones upcoming engine Maghni AI, but this was scrapped after his vp yohio made many bigoted tweets. yohioloid is often called "hio" by fans. he is 17yo and 177cm tall. he has many companions: cubi, previous, forward, long cube, cat ear box, speaker, and black cat. Previous and Forward are cubis younger siblings; cat ear box and speaker are the eldest siblings. cubi works as a cd player, previous and forward as forward and previous buttons, long cube as a microphone case, cat ear box searches for information online, speaker works as an amp, and black cat is just a regular cat

Minus (aka Xingchen Minus/ Stardust Minus) is a chinese synth developed by Beijing Photek S&T Development Co., Ltd./ Quadimension, and released in 2020. she is voiced by Sawako Sui Hua Zi. minuss concept art was drawn by Haru_jpg, her ref by xiao Ye You Xi, and her final artwork by ATDan. minus is a part of MEDIUM⁵, and is described as being villainous
