This place is definitely going to take some getting used to, seeing as there’s no way out for the time being, at least I think there isn’t, he thinks to himself. Freezing cold temperatures are still something that he isn’t exactly used to, being an islander and all. If only he could find some warmer clothes... His current outfit is definitely not cut out for this climate. He really needs to find some place to warm up, and fast. Keeping himself moving can only combat the cold for so long.

Luckily for Sora, he stumbles upon a rather large building that at least seems to be a public place. Whatever the case, it looks as though it’ll be warm inside. When he looks up, he notices the library sign, and immediately he shivers even more. Books were never really something Sora considered himself...interested in, and there’s no way it’ll change now, but nonetheless, it offers warmth, and without wasting another second, he heads inside, looking for a small table to sit for a while and gather his thoughts.

When he finds one, he plops down, louder than he would have liked, but it doesn’t matter all that much. He’s finally warm.

He takes a quick glance around the library. Despite the fact that he’s not a reader in any capacity, the sheer amount of books that surround him are impressive nonetheless.

“Whoa! Nice and warm, finally! I just hope they don’t kick you out for not reading or something...” he says, talking much louder than he initially thinks, covering his mouth almost instantly. “Uh...oops.”

From the moment she arrived in this place, the fighting never seemed to stop.

It was a world that could have mirrored her own, in a way; humans living alongside fabled creatures, with different kingdoms representing each one. There even seemed to be a constant threat taking hold of its citizens; an ominous, eerie looking tree signaling some sort of oncoming doom. Though most unlike Etheria, this world used to be something different; Adora had heard whispers from others like her who had been brought here against their wills, and.. most of these non-human creatures had been changed from who they once were. Now, herself included.

She hardly had a moment to try and adjust to her pointed ears, to her surroundings, or have a moment to even wonder where her friends were-- distracted by the threat of mist-like creatures who were seemingly plaguing everyone they came in contact with. She had managed to destroy a few of them, with much effort; her powers lacking from their usual state, even in her now transformed appearance as She-Ra. Breathing heavily, the girl gripped tightly onto her (plastic) sword; wiping the sweat from her brow with her free hand. Thinking she finally had a moment to collect herself was proven wrong almost immediately, as bright blue eyes found themselves locking onto another one of those monsters; this time, closing in on someone who may not have noticed it right away.

“Look out!”

Without any hesitation, Adora sprinted forward; bashing the reaper with the side of her blade. However useless that may have been, it was the only weapon she had, but she quickly realized it wouldn’t be enough this time, especially with her diminished strength. Moving while the monster was trying to recollect itself, Adora then reached for the girl’s hand; pulling her away from sight behind an alley, and away from what had almost attacked her. Adora almost didn’t realize at first that this girl wasn’t human; she looked.. almost like a puppy, in a way, but she couldn’t focus on that right now.

Once safe, the girl loosened her hold on the other, breathing a sigh of relief. After a moment, her gaze finally fell to the stranger; and although she was attempting to keep her composure, it was hard for her to pretend like any of what happened was even close to normal.

“Those things-- they’re everywhere. And that one.. looked exactly like you! I--” she shook her head, unable to make sense of anything. “Are you okay?”

She knows that it’s a strange thing to ask of someone especially when the person in question is a complete stranger but Rin all too often acts before thinking things through. It’s a trait that has gotten her into trouble time and time again and one would think she were bound to have learned her lesson by now but she’s a creature of habit and some of those are harder to break than others. In a worst case scenario-- should the other get offended and react aggressively-- she can just as easily fly away and take refuge among the trees until they tire out or stalk away towards a different kingdom. 

But it never hurts to just ask, right? They can always just as easily refuse.

“This is going to sound really weird, but... Can I pet you?”

“You’re just really cute and you remind me of this puppy that lives in the house next door to mine back home! My real home, I mean. Y’know... The one before we all got slammed into this dump of a city.”

Remy was almost positive that he wouldn’t be found out here. It was quiet away from the town, it was a bit of a trek through the fresh snow as well so he wasn’t sure why someone would come out here. Unless they followed him or heard the explosions. Well, the area was flat and almost fee of snow besides for a few small patches here an there. It was exactly the kind of place he needed to practice while he was still stuck in Frostias. 

So, here he was. He had grabbed a bunch of cards, he had decks just lying around anyways because he worked in the illegal casinos around here.  Besides he had already perfected throwing them and they seemed to be the perfect objects for testing his new powers. He wanted to see the limits and see exactly how much he could do. He couldn’t do this for any long amount of time apparently, but he wanted some practice in. It would be useful if an attempt was ever made on his life. Exploding cards would give any would be assassins something to think about. 

One explosion absolutely obliterating a good sized boulder. Remy laughed he was a kid in a candy store. He practiced controlling the cards in his hand to float through the air it was really something to be had. That was when he heard footsteps behind him. It broke his concentration causing the cards in the air to fall to the ground. They only made small snaps and nothing really worrying Remy that he was too close to. He turned quickly a good amount of cards in his hand shimmering their fuchsia color armed and dangerous. “Who’s there!?”

Most people have their own personal hells. Some think of their old schools, and others think of cramped cubicles in offices that smell like mothballs. Some think of hospitals with creepy doctors, and others think of any place with blacktop that can burn the skin. Kylo, however? Well, his personal hell was here.

Ah, yes, the small coffee shop that he worked in. A Starbucks knockoff, simply named ‘Snowbucks.’ The owner was not subtle and not creative, in the eyes of the irritable young male. Oh, he hated it here. The morning shifts were the worst, with persnickety middle-aged men and women coming in and placing their orders, then if there was a flaw, GOD FORBID one teeny tiny little spec in their drink, the order had to be done again, and again, and AGAIN, until it was somehow made to their oh-so-refined taste palette. 

It was only 3 PM, with two more hours to go until his shift was over, but this meant rush hour came in, and those same people would come back to order their after-work, ‘I-just-got-done-filing-claims-and-Jessica-wouldn’t-shut-up-in-the-next-row-so-give-me-a-discounted-latte’ attitude. If I die here, in this uniform, who’ll bury me? Who’ll go to my funeral? Probably will be the emptiest funeral on the whole fucking planet-

He looked up as the crowd started filing in, bags under his eyes, a clear pout upon his lips. God, this was going to be hell. His own personal hell, as established before. A young, dark-haired girl had come up to the counter, and thank god, because if his first customer of the afternoon was Deborah, the soccer mom, he’d fucking flip.

“Welcome to Snowbucks, Frostias’ best fucking coffee shop in the lower levels with no relationship to Starbucks whatsoever, I’m sorry but we’re out of vanilla syrup as we didn’t get it shipped in last night, there is no such thing as a secret menu so please do not request out-of-the-loop orders, and currently we are accepting job applications so if you want a job, you can have mine because sure as hell I don’t fucking want it. What can I get you?”

And of course, with the whirl of Winter and December casually sinking into Dearu, the annual carnival of the Festival of Lights was upon Frostias. And as always, Undyne would feel an exuberant amount of sudden determination and holiday spirit, so she always volunteered at one of the booths.

Maybe it was because she considered herself a helpful person. Maybe it was because she wanted Alphys to think of her as a good person. She couldn’t tell which one was the correct reason.

So, of course, what booth did she end up operating? The casual dunk tank. Although, to prevent the issues of frostbite, the inside of the tank was heavily heated, like a sauna, and the water like a hot spring. That was thanks to Papyrus knowing the right people and being a whole lot more charming than the cop herself was.

Although, no business was a bad sign. Every year, Undyne donated all of the proceeds from her respective booth to various charities, but strangely, nobody seemed to want to dunk a cop tonight. She’d have to advertise...

Mistress Beatrice would be quite peeved with him. Ronove glanced towards his watch and adjusted his monocle a little. Yes, quite late indeed. What the dutiful butler had intended to be only a short trip to the store for supplies had turned into an interesting series of side-trips, each taking longer than the last. First he went to the grocery store so he might procure the proper items for his mistress’s breakfast and lunch, then he took the supplies back and began preparing a multitude of items, and now... well, he had neatly packed everything so he might deliver her the delectable brunch which he hoped she would enjoy between meetings and nefarious goings on. Alas, it seemed that fate was hardly on his side that beautiful day as he, quite horrifyingly, stumbled into a young woman. 

Her belongings scattered. Ronove’s eyebrows lifted and though he had managed to hold onto his parcel he immediately set it down and bent to retrieve the things the young woman had lost. “I beg your pardon young miss,” he began, tone respectful and only slightly bemused, “In my rush I was no longer paying due attention to my surroundings and have thoroughly inconvenienced you. Here, your belongings.” The butler gathered the things swiftly and held them out to the girl whilst on one knee, head bowed respectfully. 

“Is there anything I can do to apologize for my careless actions? Perhaps to relieve your burden by carrying your things while escorting you to your destination?”

It seemed rare that Ken had a weekend off work at the same time he was ahead in classes as opposed to completely buried by homework. To celebrate his unexpected windfall of free time, the young man considered different options than usual. While it wasn’t exactly glamorous and exciting, he did at least make it to Solias for some time on the beach in the sunshine... with a stack of interesting books and a bag full of snacks. Halfway through his first book he decided that he probably wasn’t making the best use of his mini-vacation and decided to take a little break. Ken hadn’t even noticed how comforting the sunshine had become or how sweet the sound of the waves was.

With a slight smile he took a deep breath of the fresh air, then realized he was no longer alone on that particular little stretch of beach. Off a ways to his left there was a collection of tide pools, and hunched over examining them was a young lady. It wasn’t at all surprising that anyone else should be out and about on such a lovely day, especially in such a popular area as Solias. The girl looked up from the pools and Ken presumed caught sight of his curious glance. With a slight air of nervous energy, Ken brought up his hand in a wave and smiled.
