Question
Write a one sentence fic about each word - can be any pairing, fandom, or different ones for each word, it’s all open.
1. duck
Jace always wondered by the light of the moon, what would have happened if he had ducked when he was asked to - perhaps then, perhaps then his parabatai rune wouldn't have faded to the colour of silver.
2. lemon
Magnus liked the word "lemon" for two reasons - for the natural sourness which enhanced even the dullest of tastes, and for the figurative meaning of the word.
3. smell
Simon wondered to himself just why he seemed to be so familiar with the smell of that gorgeous beauty that seemed to have transpired from that long-forgotten dream from another world in another time.
4. cat
Jonathan thought he would love to adopt a cat, if all things could start over, one with bright green eyes, just to match he and his sister's, he hoped that might have been a joy he could deserve.
5. jogging
Simon always loved to jog alongside Isabelle, or better still, watch her while she jogs, just for the way the sweat glistened on her like dewdrops (he was after all, very shallow).
6. derelict
Church had just became a derelict, Jace decided as he watched the cat lead seven pairs of webbed feet into the Institute's grounds
7. nine
It was at the age of nine when Julian first realized what the feelings he was harbouring towards his best friend were, but it would be another nine years later before he could realize just how deep those feelings were, and just how happy he could be when Emma requited them.

Magnus was not sure if he wanted to open the package that was shaped, quite curiously like his favourite shadowhunter, or rip it apart, but under the smirk of the black-haired sister, he decided to bring it back home first.

Clary wondered to herself why she had fallen for such an arse of a guy, watching the golden-haired idiot tease their child by jumping 30 feet into the air while cuddling the boy.
10. lollipop
Alec prayed to all the angels in heaven that Magnus would stop licking that forsaken candy, they were babysitting for his sister's children for the angel's sake, did he want Alec to forever scar his nephew's mind?
11. hipster
"Tessa?" Jem asked, curious, "What is a 'hipster'? Is that someone with a good hip? If so, I dare say dear, you and Will are quite qualified to be 'hipsters'."
