In a universe where everyone is born with numbers on their wrists counting down to when they’ll meet their soulmate, send me 00:00:00 for my muses reaction to their numbers hitting zero when they meet yours. || ( x )
It had been so long to wait. Over and over and over again Emmett had to cover his wrist just so he wasn't taunted by those stupid numbers counting down. Some days he'd be able to block it out entirely, go about his day as usual, but then of course there were the others that he would just mindless watch the numbers disappear. One minute, five minutes, an hour...
Who was it supposed to be? Someone he's seen before, a girl, a guy? Man, this was hard to think about. Most of Emmett's life he had using a scarf, or a bandana, anything to make sure those numbers were concealed. Work was a good way to take the mind off of the prospect off finding his soulmate, though his mind would often wonder "Is it him?" "Could be you." "...or you."
How long did it take? Too long, surely. Here, Emmett was getting to be in his twenties, and nothing. Not so much as a blush or someone to catch his attention. It wasn't until twenty two years after his birth that he finally found her. A blonde. Leave it to the raven to find someone so unobtainable, yet have her as his one and only. Was it even possible to have a vocaloid as his soulmate? Who knew.
"Let's go to some photobooths, huh? I think that sounds like a lot of fun. Then we can play the claw games and I'll try to get you any plushie you want while you're still here, okay?"
Play it cool, don't let her know he's noticed... what a great way to work this out.
