"Sid...you know i understand losing your mom." Billy comforted his girlfriend in a sweet tone. Though she of course didnt know he was the reason her mom was gone but Billy didnt need her to know that yet. He gently wrapped an arm around her waist and his free hand tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "It gets easier." He lied so smoothly. Nothing made it easier except maybe murder. That seemed to be taking the edge off. "Want me to stay the night? Wheres your dad?"

A DISGRUNTLED SIGH LEFT CLARK’S LIPS as he hung his head, wondering if he should give up even trying to write this article. It was the sixth time in the span of a few minutes someone had interrupted his work. It was pointless. Maybe he should install wifi at the Fortress of Solitude so he could get his work done.

Clark plastered a pleasant smile on his lips, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “Yes, Kori. What can I help you with now?” he questioned, lips cocking into a slight grin.
