When I imagine X-Men: Evolution getting a reboot, the story doesn't begin immediately after the defeat of Apocalypse.
It begins years later, when the X-Men, New Mutants, and Brotherhood we know are all adults, and many of them have become teaching staff at the expanded Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters, which has now been officially and publicly recognized as an institute for mutants.
And the main characters? Aren't the original cast—it's the kids in Academy X, and this series will be called New X-Men: Evolution.
The Academy X comics started out as a high school drama with superpowers mixed in, much like Evo. Then, the stakes rose for Evo when the existence of mutants was exposed to the public, darkening the tone of the series – this would be M-Day for Academy X. Plus, the rivalry between the new New Mutants and the Hellions can be the new "X-Men vs. The Brotherhood".
How many years have passed since the end of X-Men: Evolution? Long enough for Billy and Tommy to be included as teenagers. At this point in the future, a cure for Captain America's stasis should've been found so the Avengers can be assembled, which then allows the Young Avengers to assemble.
I'd love to see a love triangle plotline involving David, Nori, and Tommy, where at first everyone thinks Tommy is interested in Nori because he keeps challenging her to race him, but soon it becomes clear Tommy actually likes David because he's always asking him out for a bite or a drink. David realizes this, too. However, he isn't ready to accept his bisexuality, and he genuinely does like Nori, so he chooses her. Tommy understands and backs off. After M-Day, and David's life is jeopardized too many times for Nori to handle, their relationship ends. Around this time, David begins to accept he's bi, Tommy reenters his life, and they start dating. Though, they will have their rocky moments when Tommy finally dares to let David know it was the former's mother who took away the latter's mutant powers.

i heard a few ppl talking about laura kinney being whitewashed in the comics but??? how isnt she a clone...
i’m guessing they were talking about her original appearence in the xmenevo show? she had darker skin than logan, and she’s been portrayed with much paler skin in the comics almost always since then
