As an Indigenous girl, Dani represents one among thousands of disappeared Indigenous women and girls,who the show suggests are not forcibly taken or subjected to genocide, but who are simply unwanted and forgotten. Because Dani is unable to control her powers and is undisciplined and savage, nobody misses her except Kitty. Kitty becomes a white saviour, rescuing Dani from the cave, the indifference of her community, and apathy of her family. Among the layers of settler discourse deeply entrenched in this storyline, two inter-connected processes of genocide are echoed: the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and the continued abduction, institutionalization, and assimilation of Indigenous children through the child welfare system.

I just love this piece by @seye_art over on instagram. I'm always interested in the idea of Emma at the school as a teenager. How that would have changed her, the team, and her relationships, particularly with Jean and Scott.

I also love her uniform. Incorporating the white (and sort of the off the shoulder shape of some of her costumes) into a more standard x-men costume is not something I've seen a lot and it really makes sense for this universe given her age and the rest of the team's slightly more standardized look.

just throwing this out there, but would anybody be interested in a more general fan discord for X-Men Evolution?

There's plenty of roleplaying discords out there, but not so much for other parts of the fandom, so I was thinking of setting one up

I just finished X-men Evo and I loved it so much the characters were so well written to be silly 2000s trend with superpowers I’m going to miss this version of them but I’m glad I can finally move on to different versions of my beloved characters, X-men Evo will always have that place in my heart as the first X-men content I truly sat down and consumed!!!!
