Baby Doll was smiling, in spite of the blood on her face, leaning up towards him with an earnestness in her expression. It was as though she had already forgotten the carnage behind, the family slumped over the table in the wake of her rage. “You’re late!” she scolded instead, and tried to tug on his hand.

Warily, the bodyguards in the corner raised their weapons to watch him closer, but made no move to fire without her instruction. “Come in, come in,” she continued, now seeming all but fascinated by the stranger who had burst in on her party.

Silver coins, heavier than they look. You’ve never really asked about them, and it’s not because you aren’t curious. Rather, you’ve got the feeling that Stranger will reveal himself to you given time. There are, after all, plenty of secrets you’ve kept from him. It’s strange that he’d leave these unattended, he’s very protective of them, but also touching. 

It means he trusts you enough not to do anything wrong with them. They clearly have a great significance to the man, enough to where he’s constantly wearing them. Except around you. You reach out to touch one, lifting it up. It radiates warmth, hot in your hand, but not enough to burn. It feels like it’s got the weight of the entire world on it’s shoulders. You place the coin back down.
