👀 + What are you thoughts on Blackguard? Do you think she's a good friend for your son? Or would you rather she disappear?
Blackguard is an.. interesting case.
She stumbled into Arkaitimus’ life by chance. Right from the start she began fussing over him like some lost child, fretting and scolding him every time he raised his hand or spoke out of turn on the datanet. Her behavior has not improved over the years- though now she has gone so far as to insert herself into my son’s life and taken up the role as a ‘surrogate parental figure’.
Her existence, by all accounts, should infuriate me.
However, in spite of everything that would prove otherwise my son is not only receptive of her disquietude, but enjoys it. He adores Blackguard and cares for her with an intensity I’ve rarely seen him display. For the longest time I could not understand how my son could fall for someone like her, let alone tolerate her smothering tendencies..
That is until I had the opportunity to meet Blackguard in person.
I must admit as a businessmech she is successful and well conducted. Respectful, but not acquiescent, at least when forced into a face to face encounter. All and all- she appears to be a sensible mecha that has great potential as an asset for our future.
Which is exactly what my son penned her to be when I asked him why he’s kept her in his life for so long.
He has shared with me some of the hardships she has endured over the years. It’s nothing I haven’t experienced or heard before, but to my son it means so much. He.. admires her resilience and capacity for compassion even after everything she’s been put through. I believe he wishes to emulate what he has deemed to be her ‘strength’ and apply it to his own life. He views her as a role model of sorts- using her encouragement to be better and greater then before. Arkaitimus has made no effort to hide his desire to want to avoid repeating the mistakes of his progenitors- something I make no effort to discourage.
Whether Blackguard proves to be the key to his success in this endeavor is a matter only time will see to answer. For now.. it would appear he’s found another someone who provides a glimmer of light among the darkness his young life has unfortunately suffered from.
And I can’t in my right mind take that away from him, even if I don’t necessarily agree with it’s source all the time.
(Yes/No meme) Have you been caught looking at another mech beside your bondmate? and Have you and Starscream got into a fight about it?
:: Yes and No. :::: Given my position it is next to impossible for me not to look at another mech other then my bondmate. The same could be said of my Lord Commander . :::: On that note, Starscream and I are bonded, not blind, and the terms of our.. relationship take this fully into account. Should we happen to find another who piques our interest we simply let the other know before proceeding further. ::
