SPY? STRANGER. ( @xresistancefighter. )
She’s afraid; no, maybe not afraid, not yet. He’s not given her much reason to be frightened. But anxious? Yes -- certainly nervous, as anyone in her position would be. A certain amount of that is to be expected; it’s no flashing, neon sign declaring her guilt. Her words are evenly paced -- no glaringly obvious sign of a lie there, either. He doesn’t like reaching into minds. He truly doesn’t. The thought is unsavory, even now, but he will do what he must. None of their traditional tools are here --- otherwise, he would simply pry and cut the truth out of her.
He stops in front of her, mask tipped to make it quite clear that his attention is fixed on her; behind the impassive facial covering, his eyes roam, looking for anything overlooked, anything that might link her to the Resistance. His lips press into a tight line, and he resumes his pacing, voice dry once more; he’d almost seem amused, if not for the underlying current of irritation that he’s trying to press down. Killing her immediately gains him nothing, and makes the time he is spending now a waste. He simply needs to remain calm, patient, and he will have his answers.
“Do you often approach shuttles that do not belong to you to ‘admire’ them?”
“That seems a dangerous hobby. People less forgiving than me would assume you were attempting a theft of some sort, and would take action against you in equal measure, you know.”
