We’re BEST friends! 💛 We met via Cars fandom in July and became fast friends, at a rate heretofore reserved for baby racecars doing service labor in the desert. We got to talking every single day, and one time we didn’t talk for 17 hours and we both almost died.

Then, at the end of August, I was driving cross-country at the EXACT time she was moving to a city directly in my flightpath, so we had the chance to spend MULTIPLE DAYS TOGETHER, AH. <3 AND WATCH CARS TOGETHER. And go ham on the die-cast searching and almost get slain by Storm’s elusiveness. We both cried when we had to say goodbye, because when would we see each other again? Not for a long time, right?

…THEN. CARS 3 FREAKING ANNOUNCED IT WAS COMING BACK TO THEATRES FOR LABOR DAY. (At this point I’d continued my country-crossing and was quite far away.)

And we were like I KNOW THIS IS CRAZY… BUT WHAT IF WE SAW IT TOGETHER.

And then were like, WAIT. WHAT IF WE SAW IT TOGETHER…

So we found a theater and rented an AirBnB and we drove from opposite ends of the Interstate to meet up in the middle. To see Cars freaking 3 together. (And also Cars 1. Again. XD)

At some point it’s just gotta be meant to be, right?

Today I met @stickersandsally/@xtorrence in person, which made me feel like the luckiest person in the world! It’s so funny, because even though I was nervous as all get out (I may or may not have stress-purchased yet another McQueen on my way to her...) it felt like we were meeting up like we’d met a hundred times before, to hang out like we’d hung out a hundred times before.

She took me to a really cool tea house and we just talked and talked and the whole day spilled away like nothing but also SO MUCH EVERYTHING. I’m glad we will be blessed with another tomorrow. This post is 100% sappy squish and I don’t care one bit. SHE IS A TREASURE. My queen. <3
