Let’s smoke it… Worlds highest heritage Railway station at and most scenic sight in the Queen of hills ‘Darjeeling’. Smoking steam engines are the most fascinating toy trains giving you joy ride within the town. Built in 1881 and certified by UNESCO as world heritage sight. Both deisel and steam engine runs but the smoky feel is way different experience. One must enjoy watching or even riding one whenever visit Darjeeling. Here I am at one 806 steam engine of Northern Frontier Railway NF and darjeeling Himalayan Raways DHR at Batasia Loop where some greasing and technical aspects are taken care. Move…with contrast What a reflection of two humans…one looks brighter with its hard work and other looks dull because of its begging character… I wish this standards are changed and we in India can bring some positive upbringing for those who seek help. Though it is not easy to change begging mentality but at the same time one can be given work to change the mentality of free earnings. We will avoid looking ugly while on tourist places… I may sound little arrogant, but believe all May agree with my thought. Beauty lies in beholders eye…inspired from my friends post I felt like sharing the same in my own version… we have ignored the truth of beauty and are after unrealistic beauty mentioned in terms. Do we really need to inform what is beauty? Do we really think beauty can be explained without feelings it? Do we not sense the beauty? We Indians have been under rules of Mughals for quite a long time and hence there are many places named after Mughal emperors. But what we see here is the name of a Sufi saint Maulana Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya under who’s memory old Delhi Station is named after. Also you will find Dargah of Maulana Hazrat Nizamuddin in the area were devotees come to seek blessings. Our Indian history unfold many such tales through Indian Railways too. 1919 Baisakhi is unforgettable for us Indians... #jallianwalabagh Festival of Baisakhi celebrated by each and every sikhs and Punjabi’s across the globe. This was 1919 and 10000 people were gathered to celebrate Baisakhi in Jalianwala Bagh campus. And looking at the opportunity and only one gate to exit and all side covered with huge walls, British Army open fired on unarmed innocent people in there. Kids, females, males, young and old and pregnant women...all were trapped and killed. Many jumped in well alive. Still the scars of blood marks are symbolic on walls to remember what we lost that day. Thinking about it boils your blood even now. That cruel emergency led under Edward Dyers orders left hurtful scars on us all. When visit Amritsar do visit this place right adjacent to Golden Temple to know how blessed we all are and what has our past generation suffered for freedom. It is said when you get freedom as blessing you don’t respect. One need to earn freedom to know what it feels like. We all need to remember sacrifices done for our freedom should not go waist.
