Your tags on that lush post just told me to stop my entire skin care routine LOL. What's harmful about that stuff, please share your knowledge, I'm in the dark here
lol haha thats ok dw! microbeads: way too abrasive and harmful to the skin, causes break outs and irritation and sensitivity. it doesn’t seem harsh but think of what it is doing on a very small level. they are only really appropriate for older people who have duller, very tough old skin that needs help refreshing itself and brightening up, or SOMETIMES ppl with very dry skin. also when they go down the drain they pollute the waterways. you don’t need to scrub your face for it to be cleansed, though if u must then once a week is fine. foam and and soapy cleansers will give you same squeaky clean feeling, also masks and cleansers with fruity enzymes. peel off masks/pore strips: pulls at the sensitive, delicate skin of your face and will cause wrinkles. doesn’t actually help long term since the skin’s natural sebum (oil) will just replace the blackheads immediately and will become even more oily as it tries to replace all of the moisture u are stripping away (think of it like your skin thinks it is being attacked so it’s trying to defend itself). most important part of any skin care routine is moisturising!!!! it’s what is staying on your skin for the longest amount of time and worth splashing out on for the perfect one depending on your skin and how you like it to feel. i can give recs but most of product specific product knowledge is about lush and i understand not everyone wants to use those because they are expensive.
