Pokemon Y Day 36

Getting our 7th gym badge in Anistar City, and seeing the Anistar sundial!

After exploring the rest of Anistar City, we headed to the Anistar City gym, a beautiful starry maze. We beat Olympia's psychic type pokemon and had the chance to mega evolve Ponderosa for the first time.

After our gym battle success, Lysandre called us on the Holo Caster. He revealed that he is the leader of Team Flare, and that they will be using the ultimate weapon to destroy everyone who isn't a part of their plans. Calem urged us to look for Team Flare's base to stop them.

Pokemon Y Team Update

Now that we have four badges, I thought I should give a summary of how the team is looking!

Team members:

Stranger the braixen

Pride the simipour

Shriek the loudred

Vanilla the swanna

Garden the dedenne

Inkwell the shiny remoraid

Half the team is water, but I plan to switch one of the water members out for a mega-evolving pokemon once we get to it. I am waiting a bit longer to evolve Inkwell so he can learn ice beam a little early.

Pokemon Y Day 23

Getting the plant badge from the Coumarine City gym!

On our way to the Coumarine City gym, we learned about the legendary pokemon of the Kalos region. It is said that the pokemon is in a deep sleep, that's why there aren't many stories about it.

In front of the gym, Calem challenged us to a battle. After beating him, we navigated the vine-covered jungle that is the Coumarine City gym. We beat Ramos's grass pokemon and received our fourth gym badge - the plant badge.

Vanilla the ducklett carried the team for much of this battle - he is small but mighty!

Pokemon Y Day 15

We spent a lot of time trying to catch the horde-exclusive zangoose before the seviper killed him.

We finished catching the new encounters for Route 7 and battled all the trainers as well. This included Calem, who challenged us to a battle. Vanilla got his debut battle and did a great job.

We passed through Connecting Cave and caught the new encounters there.

On Route 8 (Muraille Coast) we quickly caught all the new encounters but one - zangoose. They can only be found in hordes with seviper, who attack zangoose mercilessly. We had to travel to Route 9 and catch a sandile with intimidate + sand tomb to weaken and defeat the seviper. After several tries, we managed to save a zangoose just in time to catch him.

Pokemon Y Day 44

Parading through Lumiose City and fighting AZ.

After beating Diantha she led us into a room where we entered my team into the Hall of Fame - “for all eternity.”

The next day we met up in Lumiose City for a parade in our honor, organized by Professor Sycamore. He also rewarded us with the Honor of Kalos for defeating Team Flare.

The festivities were interrupted by AZ who challenged me to a pokemon battle. He wanted to know what a trainer is. We beat his team and he expressed that he was now free of sorrow and had let go of the part of him that had built the ultimate weapon. As AZ let go of his past, his floette floated into his hands, now ready to join him again. AZ collapsed in joy. It returned to the man it knew.
