Guys, I cannot thank you enough. It’s been a very long time coming, especially after the exodus last December but this morning i’ve made it past 4,000 followers and I am honestly more thrilled than I can express!

Some of you have been here for the LONGEST time. I’ve been mutuals with some of you since right back in 2012 and still get excited when I see your name and icon appear on my dash. It’s been a crazy ride, and one that i’m not going to be getting off of any time soon. People joke about needing someone to pry their corpse from the smouldering ashes of this site, but I know for sure i’m going to be one of those people. I’ll be here until the bitter end. 

People have different experiences anywhere. You often hear about the bad side of tumblr, as you do from any community, but a lot of that comes down to who you surround yourself with, and I feel very fortunate to say that i’m surrounded by people who have enriched my days with fun, stupidity, art and fandom ramblings. Friendship, laughter and fun. Education. I’ve learned more about myself through this place than I did in thirty-plus years prior. 

Above everything else, it will always be the place I met Lucy and there truly aren’t words to cover that!!! <3

Something i’ve thought about recently is how different life is right now, where even the very worst of days is a hundred times better than the very best of days were before. Tumblr has a bigger role than I can express in that. 

I turned to tumblr when I needed a lifeline, to get me through my darkest days. What I found was a wife, friends, community, fun, laughter by the truckload. I found myself. I found a place to share my art and enjoy the work of others. I found a love for cosplay. I found a place I truly belonged. Tumblr was the place i’d been looking for since the very first day I logged on to the internet, in 1998. It took me over 13 years to find it. Is it any wonder i’m not gonna leave now i’m here??

If you’re reading this, thanks for being a part of it. Thanks for being a friend, for filling my dash with nonsense, for your support and smiles. Thanks for being a part of what makes this place feel like home <3
