Haurchefant smiles as long, lagomorphic ears twitch and Ambrose begins to move beside him, indicating he is awake. He marks his place in his book and sets it aside while the viera yawns and stretches beside him. It's nice and comfortable with Ambrose here, and most of all, he is glad of the fact that Ambrose seems to have made it home safely.
He is fit to burst with questions for Ambrose, but those can wait for now. The other man has just woken up, after all. It would not do to pester him with too many questions right after he wakes up. Haurchefant can be content with just the fact that he is back for now.
“It's certainly something,” Haurchefant says with a bit of a chuckle. “Lord Aymeric brought me much in the way of reading materials while you were gone, but he hasn't any idea what I like to read.”
Haurchefant is honestly not much of a reader, preferring to spend his time active when possible. This simply isn't possible anymore, not while he's recovering, so reading it is. He finds it a bit dull and uninspiring, but at least it passes the time.
“I've been full of worry for my friends on yet another perilous journey, but I am all right now that I know you're safe,” he continues. He doesn't know that everyone is safe, of course; Ambrose had set off with Estinien and Cid and the others, and Haurchefant has yet to see anyone else. “You are all safe, are you not? And the Archbishop?”
