Ya know I have never watched Powerpuff Girls but the script leak is so bad like absolutely horrific. Like idk about everyone else but I am sick of these dark and edgy remakes of shows it's getting old also what's with CW etc taking shows that were cutesy and girly with feminine things like shopping and sleepovers about teens and making it so dark? I have heard people talk about how girl shows and movies are always criticized and shat on (usually those movies and shows are bad) but this feels like a bit of an insult like girls can't have stuff that's girly anymore without some network thinking "hmm how can we make this depressing and progressive" (which I think almost everyone except for the company can say this looks bad) also idc if people are progressive but I think even progressive people are tired of this and don't want this show. I miss shows about friends being awesome and going shopping and having sleepovers and just girly stuff. If people wanna make stuff that is different than make a different show and leave these shows from the past alone but now it's all gotta be about having sex, Dark Academia, weed (which btw I have absolutely nothing against), misandry, quirky edgy quote like "I'm a loser" or whatever emo Lughead said etc like ugh it's the same thing over and over again.
The only good thing CW did with all this is make me wanna watch the original Powerpuff Girls. I am never gonna watch whatever this live action show is Dove seems great and I would love to watch more things with her but this gets a no from me.
Also it's fine to like edgy and dark shows but it's just gotten old and I would love to see a show that's edgy and dark but original and new not a show that everyone holds dearly being turned into something else. With Y2K being so big rn I am just shocked no company has really jumped on it and decided to make a show that's reminiscent of those times.
