The powerpuff CW show looked awful and I’m glad it died a slow and quiet death.

Shows like this and Velma that are just full of hate and contempt for the original property are sickening to me. Say what you will about the 2016 show, but at least there where some attempts at humor. I am so glad this never aired. Saved us all time and brain cells.

The leaked powerpuff cw script is the funniest thing i’ve ever read. Even outside of the “how do you do fellow kids”-ness and the “wow the writers really hated the original source material”-ness, every line sounds so robotic and stilted. The writers have clearly never heard of show-don’t-tell, so they’re like “make sure everyone knows this kid has a crush on Blossom by having him say so every other line” and “have Blossom’s boyfriend literally list all her mental problems like he’s reading from a psychology textbook” and the script is nothing but that. It reads like a parody of a CW show, but I guess the CW is beyond parody at this point. God, my Sonic the Hedgehog fanscripts are better than this.
