I'm happy to report that I think I'm having a pretty good time lately 😊 I'm not sure how I got here but making time and choosing to have fun has been super beneficial for my baseline mood.

This is probably from many things adding up but I'm also very grateful to have arrived here before the end of my life. I'd like to think that I'm perhaps only 1/3 of the way done.

Finding balance or harmony between all the parts of life today looks different for each person (as it should). I have the privilege/ability/desire to identify what no longer suits me, so I continue to explore different options until something works for me.

I encourage everyone to express their discontent and invite them to not remain there. I don't want to diminish anyone's pain or experience. I want to remind people that we can all try something different. The results may not be what we want or expect, but each time, we can decide to keep it or leave it.

All this is to say I want to share more with people. There are so many things that cause me to light up with excitement, spark ideas, and recharge my creative mojo tank lol. I love all the inspiration I receive from seeing the awesome things you all make and it would be an honor to be able to inspire even one person to do something they love.

I hope to fill my web presence with honesty and love to lighten hearts (mine included) and hold out a hand to the collective. I'm here, too. I see you.

So, what have I been up to and why did I post a pic of a Digimon Tamagotchi??? Lol

Well this is one of the things I've gotten back into lately 😁 When I was a little kid, I had the brown one and had fun battling with my brother. I thought anything you could connect and play with another person was SO COOL! Pokémon will always have a special place in my heart for doing that.

The one in the picture came out in 2019 and has a few things I'm pretty sure were not on the original. Or maybe I just never figured it out because I definitely didn't read the instruction booklet back then 😅

This new one has training and sparring options. Additionally, you can raise a 2nd Digimon in the same device so u can fight another pair I guess lol. My first one was botamon/augumon/greymon 😊 I'm looking forward to seeing who will be my 2nd one.

OK! Time for more fun stuff because it's Saturday. I have a bunch of plastic models I need to finish up. It's kinda extra satisfying to finish building because the boxes can take up a significant amount of space.

I only stabbed myself 2 or 3 times while needle felting this mushroom. Glad I made it. Learned a lot. Still don't have anti-stab gloves or fingie covers tho...

So, I Googled myself today...

I was checking to see if I had private info out there. I found old blogs...

So embarrassing...

I'm thinking I should make a YouTube video about my old stuff. It's kind of interesting to see the stuff I thought written with nearly no filter. Now, I'd like to think, I put a little more thought into what I write. So much has happened since then and I'd like to revisit some of the things I mentioned.

Am I so different than I was back then? 🤔

I Googled "is tumblr going to shut down".

I'm pleasantly surprised to see it's still here after one of the results claimed it would shut down in July 2020.

I've come to terms with the realization that some other platforms aren't particularly good for my peace. I've shifted my priorities and identified some personal values that I'd like to be more aligned with. Some things really are none of my business... that's not to say I'm turning a blind eye to problems or choosing ignorance. Protecting my peace, I'm hoping, will enable me to put more thought into my life and things I can affect.

Overview

You should make a solid effort to enjoy yourself today, no matter what you have to do. If you're running errands, why not take the scenic route or explore a shortcut? If you're working, try to get social with some coworkers and share a little more about what motivates you. If you're at school, soak up the lectures with gusto. Joy isn't something that's given to you on a silver platter -- it's something you have to find. Start digging!

Sleep all day

Things get odd when you stay up all night and sleep all day. If I had alcohol last night I wouldn't have been able to sleep for so long. Since I didn't, I'm very well rested at the wrong time of the day -_- oops.

So why did I stay up so late? Music of course. Interwebs. I added a bunch of new music to my library, but there's still more to obtain. I did enjoy listening to my music loudly since it was the middle of the day when I got up.

The first thing I did was change my niece's poopy diaper. Not completely terrible. Then we played outside for a bit. When her mom came she said "sorry, I can't play anymore." XD What a funny little kid. She was very serious when she said it too.

Welp, not too much goin on here. Had a good weekend tho =] Hope you all did too!

Slacking

I feel like I fell of the face of the Earth for the past couple weeks or so. The times I disappear from the interwebs, I'm usually just out. I only do this stuff when I'm alone at home. And even when I'm home, I might be too lazy to get on the computer. Sometimes I'm too lazy to turn on my PS3 and tv. When I'm that lazy I turn to handhelds lol.

Lately I've been wanting to spend time with only a few people. Significant other is number 1. I feel like I never get enough time with him. It's probably good to feel like that instead of being sick of someone. So far, I don't think I've ever felt that way about him. I hope I never do.

I've been feeling pretty odd lately.

I should just try to have a good last few weeks here. My time is almost up...

But I'll be back again before the year is over. Going away is long overdue. This way I'll get to miss everyone and I'll have a much higher tolerance for everything.
