I ran into an old SG1 blog of mine from 2005 via stargateficrec and then the Way Back Machine. Not only is it of essays and fic I mostly don’t remember, but it includes a quote that is soooooo funny to me to look back on:

“So I've been obsessing over Stargate for the last few months. I'm not sure when I stepped over the line from watching an episode here and there to anxiously awaiting each new episode. I even wrote a fanfiction for crying out loud, that's just insane! (I prefer writing my own stories but if it makes me happy to write Stargate, why not give it a try?)”

Oh past me… if you only knew! It’s been 20 years and I’m still writing SGA and yes it brings me so much joy!!!

Also, FYI, writing fanfic is writing my *own* stories, just in a shared sandbox. It’s also more fun than original. There. I said it and I meant it!

Solid win for past me

Just opened a word document containing business letters (for the cell towers that lease the high parts of the ridge) that I only have to send once per year. Last-year me left a section of notes at the top of the letters for this-year me. I love her.
