🚗 CAR — does your oc have a driver's license? can they drive/operate any automobiles/machinery besides cars?

I don't know how licensing works in the far future, but here's the skinny:

Yaeno - Yaeno is both proficient at skycars and she's also a pretty descent ship pilot. Not anything special on that front, by any means. But she can get around. That being said, I don't think the woman has ever driven any sort of ground vehicle.

Frankie - Someone should take away whatever licensure Frankie might have. There's of course, the shenanigans in the tank. But I do seem to remember that I wrote her engaging in a very dangerous, ill advised, possibly drunken skycar escape that ended with the chasing skycar pancaked against a building and hers scraped up on the ground and pinned against a warehouse of some sort.

She's lived on ships her whole life, she'd be a menace on ground vehicles, but damn, she'd love to go four-wheeling.

🔱 TRIDENT EMBLEM — can your oc swim? do they enjoy swimming?

Yaeno - Yaeno has never gone swimming, and I think she'd be quite disoriented, possibly even a bit scared of it.

Frankie - Frankie's an athletic sort, she's definitely a good swimmer, though she doesn't get very many chances too. She's an inveterate show off too, she'd be insufferable at the pool with all her buddies.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?

Yaeno and Frankie are actually two peas in a pod in this boat, they love having lots of friends! Frankie is boisterous, friendly (most of the time) and will drink with strangers in a heartbeat. She makes friends quite easily. Yaeno is not quite so boisterous, but she is certainly quite outgoing and has quite a lot of friends actually.

💛 YELLOW HEART — how many languages does your oc speak? what language(s) are they learning, if any?

Yaeno - Hm, you know, considering the use of translators, and the real muddy world building we get with regard to culture and society, this one's a hard one to answer. I'm going to say that she speaks whatever the quarian trade language might be, maybe a familial dialect/language based on where her family might have come from on Rannoch (I refuse to believe there is only ONE language for an entire planet, even hundreds of years after they fled that's just not how it works). And I'm going to say that she has been learning Nilea's home language as well, but isn't quite fluent in it.

Frankie - I love Frankie very dearly, she's good at what she's good at, but she'd be hopeless without a translator. My girl speaks English, and maybe she might know a little Spanish. She did have Tali teach her all the quarian curse words. So she knows those.

🍰 SHORTCAKE — what is/are your oc's favorite sweet(s)/dessert(s)?

I don't have the brain power to make up quarian food, so we're just going to go with human food that I know about.

Yaeno - baklava hands down. I don't know why, but that's what she's whispering to me right now.

Frankie - Jello shots. (shut up it counts.)

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

Yaeno - My girl is a chronic foot swinger, if she's sitting, her feet are a-swinging. She also has a tendency to plant her hands on her hips when she thinks someone's being stupid, she's not subtle about it. (She'll also usually just say that someone's stupid.) Sometimes she talks to her suit's VI like it can actually understand or respond to her. Suit tulpa.

Frankie - Other than looking for reasons to get into bar fights? Since her resurrection she has developed a ... superstition that helmets are somehow bad luck. She doesn't want to wear one ever again, and when forced to, she talks to it and tells it that if it gets up to any funny business (re: suffocating her in space again), she's going to kill it somehow. She knows it's ridiculous but she still feels like if she doesn't say anything, she's asking to get spaced again.

Also, sitting on top of things that are not seats.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

So, here's a fun personal headcanon of mine:

Based on quarian suit design and the brief description we get in the books of how the quarians decorate their crowded living spaces on the liveships, I have decided that it would be very cool and make sense if textile arts have become very important facets of quarian culture and art. I think it would make sense for things like weaving, embroidery and knitting/crochet to move to the forefront of quarian creative endeavors because of the practical uses of many of the things you can make with those methods. Space is limited on the liveship, so it makes sense to me that a lot of your art is going to be on your clothes, your bedding, etc.

Anyways, that was a lot of explanation for me to say that Yaeno loves embroidery. Her grandmother taught her to sew and embroider, and helped her to decorate the cowl she wears over her helmet. Even though Yaeno chose not to return to the flotilla after her pilgrimage, she still holds onto these little connections to her family and old home.

🎯 -What do they do best?

Yaeno is very adept at social situations. She's very confident in general, and quite persuasive. People are drawn to her and her little causes which is how and maintains her merry little band of misfit rescue rangers. It certainly isn't the pay that's keeping people around.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

Other than embroidery, Yaeno enjoys a good card game and a good cardio workout (not at the same time, of course.) She's a very active woman, she's got to keep her endurance up.

Yaeno hates suit maintenance. She does it, because she very much enjoys being alive and not sick, but she curses at it every time she's got to patch something up or change her filters. She has an ... interesting relationship with her suit. It is undeniably a part of her, and sometimes she loves it, but there are times when she's reminded that she will always be separated from others in a way that aliens are not. Even on her own liveship, she still has to depend on it and be separated from her own people by the material that's essentially a second skin.

But she also doesn't want to die of allergic reaction to air, so she'll keep on making sure her suit is in tip-top shape, and quietly wishing she didn't have to see everything through the glass plate of her helmet.
