2019 The OSG Fantasy Report Week 2
OSG REPORT WEEK 2
Week 1 is in the books, and we still have some unanswered questions around the league. We will call
week 1 a loss. So 0-1 is the record. Not enough Lamar Jackson in week 1. Sometimes your research
process can begin one way and filter the other as the week progresses. More information becomes
available, one or two articles gets read, one or two shows gets heard, and can sway you left or right. No
matter what, do what research you’re going to do, follow Vegas, and then make sound decisions
trusting your own gut to hand build or use optimizers for lineup construction. Regardless here goes.
This article will change somewhat from week to week. Some weeks in the NFL warrant full game break
downs of a lot of different games. Some weeks, we need to focus on just a few, and some weeks are
somewhere in between. One place to begin is Vegas. Two games up top on the main slate (12Noon and
3PM central start times) have totals over 50.
Chiefs -8.5 at Raiders (53.5)
Saints at Rams -3 (53)
The rest spread out evenly from 47.5 to 40.5
The Patriots and Dolphins total continues to rise, more so in favor of New England.
The highest implied totals are New England 33. Chiefs 31. Ravens 29.8 and Rams at 28.
These totals help to see who Vegas expects to put up points, possessions, chances, which equals fantasy
points.
Chiefs -8.5 at Raiders (53.5)
Patrick Mahomes despite the “tough” matchup vs The Jags showed that The Chiefs are still matchup
proof to a large extent. He continued to deliver with Tyreek Hill out of the game. Therefore it is no
reason to jump off the train this week. For success you MUST have pieces from this game. Most
research is still being based on last years and previous years performances. With that said, nobody in
the NFL has a better TE matchup than Travis Kelce. Beginning and ending lineups with Mahomes and
Kelce is a slam dunk, and Kelce will be the premium pay up spot at TE. With Hill out, yards and
receptions become open, and I’m going back to Meco Hardman here. He’s minimally priced across the
industry and was on the field majority of plays after Hill’s exit. With a full week of practice, he and
Sammie Watkins should be in line for a full workload with Kelce here. Outside of full game stacks, I’m
staying away mostly (which could backfire) from Damien Williams/LeSean McCoy. They split the work,
though Williams saw targets out of the backfield He will need to repeat that plus get in the endzone.
The running back on the other side has all of my interest. In addition to Kelce (and Zeke) Josh Jacobs will
be in the core of my roster construction. He and the Raiders saw no price increase which usually
happens to the Monday night teams. Jacobs, Tyrell Williams, and notably TE Darren Waller had good
performances, and now get good matchups in a pace up game for them. I do have interest in Derek
Carr, just research his game logs vs KC. He has had success here. Carr (or Mahomes) paired up with
Waller or Williams, Jacobs, and Kelce, gives access to all TDs in one way or other to this high game total.
Saints at Rams-3 (53).
The Saints are road dogs after barely getting by Houston (yet not covering spread) vs The Rams in a
rematch from last years’ controversial NFC Title game. This game should have a playoff atmosphere
with both teams wanting the win. While Brees is traditionally not the same on the road, this team
hasn’t been the same over the last year and a half. More points scored on the road, more running game
involvement. So do not be too fast to fade Brees. I keep taking Zeke (site dependent) over Kamara on
Fanduel, but Kamara is cheaper on Draftkings. I’ll take Zeke’s TDs on fanduel and Kamara’s pass work on
DK. Though they both are excellent plays. The only issue with Kamara here is the Rams had been
decent vs RBs (not evident by C-Mac in Week 1). Even those out of the backfield. He did have a
productive game in the NFC title game, but stats point to the passing game being the better play. No
WR in the NFL has a higher floor right now than Michael Thomas. He’s not the over the top burner, but
each time they need a catch on 2 nd or 3 rd down, its Brees to Thomas. 9-12 targets are a lock, and Brees is
one of the most accurate passers there is. Period. Jared Cook has a little TD value here, but I’m looking
for Thomas first, Kamara, then Brees. In game stacks any WR is game here. On the other side, it’s Goff
and any WR. Goff’s end of season playoff, Super Bowl, Week 1 this year stats are not the best. Has the
NFL caught up to he and McVay, or is it they have to change a bit with not as much Gurley putting in
work? I said last week it was a chance to buy low on Gurley and he had a “decent” line, no TDs.
However, Gurley played 70 percent of the snaps, and nearly had 100 yards. It’s just he lost the 2 TDs to
Brown. So again, it’s a chance to buy low. It’s a revenge game for Brandin Cooks who like The Texans
WR’s showed is the big play over the top guy. This week I favor he and Cooper Kupp over Woods as
Kupp seems to be Goff’s favorite red zone target. But all 3 are equally priced around the industry.
New England -18.5 at Dolphins (47.5)
This line keeps going and some places have it at 19.5. It should be 20. Yes, the Dolphins usually play
New England close, even pulling off the upset in Miami last season. This isn’t the same Dolphins team
by far. If Lamar Jackson (no disrespect) can light them up as he did, what will Tom “don’t take my feet
off the gas” Brady and co. do? Add in Antonio Brown to Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon and you can
mix and match any of these guys. My favorite in a large spread is the running back Sony Michel. His
stats were not the most impressive last week, but I can see a bounce back here. Deep in the red zone,
should produce TD equity from him and he and James White are similarly priced, so I see Michel being
the guy here for me. Brady, Michel, Patriots defense are my favorites. I will have stacks with the WR
core as well. Josh Gordon is always one play away from a big play, but Michel is in my core of RBs with
Elliott, Kamara, and Jacobs.
Chargers -2.5 at Lions (47.5)
It is very interesting to see The Chargers as a road favorite here. Since they are, the players must get
some attention as pivots off of the more popular plays of the Chiefs, Rams, Saints, and Pats.
Traditionally this is not the best sport for Austin Ekler. The Lions is not a defense you want to pick on.
Kyler Murray is no Phillip Rivers, and Murray was popular last week, but he didn’t do much until the 4 th
quarter and overtime. However, Hunter Henry has been ruled out and this just opens up so much
volume alone for Keenan Allen and Ekler. For what it’s worth, Virgil Green is bottom price on all sites
and should be the #1 TE on the depth chart. If they are favored and this game remains close and gets to
the 47.5 total or more, it has to go thru Rivers/Allen/Ekler. They together or mixed in with Watkins,
Kelce, Mahomes, or cheap Raiders, and Rams. My week started off liking Allen more, but a little love for
Ekler is growing as the work just has to bet there for him. There can be a case made for rookie tight end
T.J. Hockenson on the Lions side of the ball as he had a great week 1 with 6 rec for 131 yards and 1TD off
of 9 targets. The Chargers have always defended the TE position well and will be hard for me to get off
of Kelce and Waller.
Cardinals at -13.5 Ravens (46)
It’s a high total here though Vegas expects more scoring to be on the Baltimore side and I tend to agree.
I do think the line is a little high, but I do like Baltimore to roll by 8-9. Once again, Kyler Murray will be
popular, but in his second career game at Baltimore? This organization has always hung its hat on
defense. Yes, Jimmy Smith is out at corner in Baltimore, but I tend to love the defense here for INT’s
and sacks if Kingsbury is determined to let the rookie throw 40-50 times. I would run back Baltimore
stacks with David Johnson, who was involved in the passing game in week 1, before Murray. Yes, play
Lamar Jackson. Yes, play Marquise Brown despite only playing 14 (very productive) snaps. Yes, consider
Michael Crabtree here as well. My favorite is still Mark Ingram and the Baltimore defense. At home,
check. Favorite, check. Opportunity for turnovers and short fields. Check. Again, though hard to get
away from Kelce and Waller, keep Mark Andrews at TE in the player pool as well.
Seahawks at -4 Steelers (46.5)
Teams that get embarrassed on national TV tend to bounce back in a major way, and this presents a
great opportunity for Pittsburgh. Andy Dalton’s first ever 400 yard came on the road against this “not
anymore” Legion of Boom secondary. Big Ben to Smith-Schuster could pay off in stacks, and perhaps
James Conner and Vance McDonald as well. Moncrief had 4 drops off of 10 targets and ended with an
ugly 3 rec 7 yards line. Pittsburgh has always been a straightforward offense. On the other side of the
game, my only play here is Chris Carson, but little interest. Wilson and Lockett will get hype, but I have
failed many of times trying to pair Wilson with targets, and now the team is determined to run more.
Pass.
Cowboys -5.5 at Redskins (46.5)
It’s never fun to favor road teams in divisional games but it’s hard to avoid Ezekiel Elliott. He and
Kamara are 1 and 1A, both on the road. The matchup is there, the history of his performance vs
Washington is there, and I do expect his workload to increase, and a great chance to buy low. I usually
avoid division games, but they want to come out 2-0 out of the gate and would have come out with two
division wins out of the gate. The passing game for good reason is being noticed after last weeks
performance. If pairing Dak, consider with Zeek and the defense, or a pass catcher such as Cooper, or
Gallup, but the low owned red sneaky red zone target could be Randall Cobb. I have zero interest in
Keenum and the offense here, and actually like the Dallas defense.
49ers at -1.5 Bengals (45.5)
I have very little interest here as I take a wait and see approach on the 49er’s backfield. In some lineups
to pivot off of Kelce, we can look to George Kittle. He had two TDs called back from Jimmy G, and they
could still be paired together here. I have an issue playing players from “bad” teams, and the two TDs
being called back happens on “bad” teams. It was a great spot vs Tampa (see Greg Olsen’s Thursday
night line. His only failure was no TDs impart to his QB), and this is just an OK spot for Kittle here. Value
has opened up in the backfield with the injury to Tevin Coleman, but I have little interest in Breida or
Mostert. If that beats me, so be it. I also think Cincy’s performance was matchup based, but Tyler Boyd
and John Ross should see all of the targets with no AJ Green. If for some reason, Joe Mixon is ruled out
GIO BERNARD IS ALMOST A MUST PLAY. He has always stepped up for solid value in those situations.
Colts at -3.5 Titans (44)
Here’s a game where we can save some time. I have interest in both RBs in Derrick Henry and Marlon
Mack and have interest in both defenses. I have very little interest in either passing games. Delanie
Walker finds himself in an excellent spot, but again, very little interest in the passing games.
Bills at Giants Pick Em (44)
Buffalo opened as 2-point favorites and it’s down to a pick em game. Vegas expects the game to be
tight, so despite the low total, there may be some value here. I’m still not sure about Devin Singletary at
RB in Buffalo, but Josh Allen can be played “naked” with his rushing upside as opposed to forcing the
stack here with plays such as John Brown. If you play either side, Saquon Barkley should be run back.
With Kamara, Zeek, Eckler, Jacobs, etc garnering so much attention that Barkley may fly under the radar.
The Bills are tight on TEs, but Sterling Shepard has been ruled OUT and Cody Latimer is very
questionable and will be a game-time decision. Evan Engram saw 14 targets and had 11 rec 116 yards
and 1TD. That’s WR type stats. I love the Bills defense here to get some sacks and an INT off Eli but
keep Barkley and Engram in the player pool in tournaments.
Jags at -9 Texans (43.5)
Here’s a line I think is interesting. I think the TD plus line reflects the unknown of the Gardner Minshew
at QB for Jacksonville. Forget the score the Chiefs hung up here, it’s the Chiefs. Minshew came in with
poise and went 22-25 275 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT. Not bad for game 1 for a rookie tossed in the fire after
Foles went out. That’s a better line than Kyler Murray who has been prepped as the starter since Day 1.
Yes, he was a 6 th round draft pick but so was Tom Brady. He played a 4 WR set in college and finished in
the top 10 in Heisman voting. He’s no stranger to throwing the football. Westbrook gets a very
favorable matchup, and he and DJ Chark provide excellent value at WR when trying to pay up for RBs
and other WRs such as Michael Thomas. Can the Texans do to this respectable defense what the Chiefs
did? I’m inclined to say no, but Deandre Hopkins is as matchup proof as possible. I like other WRs than
he, but I will have Watson/Hopkins and maybe Fuller stacks. I’ll be a bit overweight yet going back and
forth with Tyrell Williams and DeDe Westbrook. Don’t go overboard here, but definitely value to be
had.
I glossed over both the Bears/Broncos game, and the Vikings/Packers game. I have 0 interest in any
offensive weapon at Mile High Stadium, but both defenses deserve strong consideration, but keep in
mind that the Bears are a -2.5 favorite vs their old defensive coordinator. Who wins, the offensive coach
in Chicago with a subpar QB, or the defensive coordinator who practiced with them week in week out.
The Vikings/Packers game is a stay away for me, being a divisional game. Minnesota wants to run only
throwing the ball 10 times last week (unsustainable), while Adams can’t get over 80 yards vs this
defense. Green Bay’s backfield is in a time share, and there is so much better offensive spots across the
board this week.

The OSG Fantasy Report Week 5
Ravens -3 at Browns (47.5) In short sample sizes Cleveland hasn’t given up much fantasy production to WR despite the shootout in Oakland last week. The TE vs Cleveland worked wonders last week which leads to some very cheap large field tournament play. They have splitting time between Maxx Williams✅ and Nick Boyle. Both TEs have been targeted 3 times in the red zone which ties for the team lead with Alex Collins and John Brown. Crabtree has 2, and leads the team with 34 targets while John Brown has 30 targets. Maxx Williams caught all 5 targets last week for 51 yards. At his bottom price if he can get in the end zone he will pay off this dirt cheap price. I’ve always favored the TE vs Cleveland and worked to perfection with Jared Cook✅ last week. The other interest is Alex Collins and Javorius Allen. Collins has 3 red zone targets but only 10 overall whole Allen has 2 red zone targets but 19 overall targets. This is particularly interesting as Cleveland has given up more favorable production to the RB, particularly pass catching backs✅ ranking next to last in this category in terms of fantasy production (4 game sample size). Pittsburgh’s best work with James Conner✅ was week 1 vs Cleveland utilizing him like Bell running and catching. If we guess right on which back may get more rushes (Collins) and red zone opportunities we may get some value in a decent total game. Allen has 3 rushing TDs and 1 reception. Collins has 2 rushing TDs and 1 reception. Along with the hopes of a TE and John ✅Brown’s 3 TDs ✅it’s hard to love the plays, but all the offensive weapons on a team favored by 3 with a decent total or all low priced.✅✅ This could be the source of very good value if you nail any of the 3-4 TDS. On the Cleveland side of the ball, the options are just as cheap. My favorite play last week was Antonio Callaway. He was an inefficient 3 catches off of 9 targets which would have paid off if he had just stretched out as oppose to being caught inside the 5. His inefficiency however led to a price raise while his counter part Rashard Higgins✅ was 4/5 for 61 yards and is now priced cheaper than Callaway, though it’s hard to discount difference in targets, 9 as oppose to 5. Jarvis Landry ✅by a wide margin leads the team in targets and captured 10 targets last week, and is probably the safest cash game play if choosing. We should expect similar target share. Landry 10-12. Callaway 8-10. Higgins 4-7. Duke Johnson as a cheap RB saw 6 targets and 4 catches. Do not expect Chubb to score 2TDs off of 3 carries. Carlos Hyde is the lead back. But again I am not going crazy for an under dog vs a somewhat stingy defense. The WRs are my main interest to sum it up. Callaway and Higgins✅ are both excellent cheap WRs with big play potential. The spot isn’t as good as vs Oakland but for the price it has to be considered. Landry may be safe for cash game but I question his upside at his price. He has only scored 1 TD and needs that to along with his targets to pay off his price and reach Tournament value. One of the best defenses at cheap price is the Browns this week✅✅✅. 4, 3, 2, and 3 sacks have been the total. 3, 0, 2, and 2 INTs. 3, 2, 1, 0 forced fumbles. These stats make fantasy points at cheap value. Take away a shootout in Oakland they have allowed 21 twice to Pittsburgh and New Orleans in the dome and 17 to the Jets. Not bad. As oppose to Baltimore’s defense who does not allow a lot of points but don’t force the sacks and turnovers the Browns have so far. But anything is possible vs a Rookie QB. Jags at -3 Chiefs (48.5) The Jags offense is likely without Fournette this Sunday. The passing offense lands in a good spot vs a bad defense in Kansas City. The backfield does as well, from handoffs and passes. The KC defense has not done much to stop either. Of the 3 WRs I favor Dede Westbrook ✅the most then Moncrief✅ (due to last week) then Cole who has been targeted the least of the trio. TJ Yeldon✅ has been targeted 22 times this season and could be the best value to pair with Blake Bortles✅ who may be a decent play this week vs KC. He’s on the road, under dog, and will either go really well or really bad. The unstoppable offense. Or the immovable defense. Mahomes has been a clear revelation in KC and now faces one of the toughest defenses in the league. The most fantasy points have been given thru the WR1. With his speed and big play ability mixed with Andy Reid’s play calling l, Tyreek Hill ✅is a great high upside play that some players will avoid solely on the opinion of the Jags defense. Slower receivers who can’t get schemed away from Jalen Ramsey is who struggles here. The TE is a middle of the board spot. Most players this week will pay down at TE. Paying up for Travis Kelce✅ will be contrarian and good exposure to a team at home, favored in a 48.5 total. But I would stick to the big guns here. ✅✅✅Mahomes. Hill. Kelce. With so many other RBs this week I prefer them over Hunt. Titans -3.5 vs Bills (39) Most of this game is a fade. You can play Corey Davis but I’m not promoting it. I do however love the Tennessee defense✅✅. They have 12 sacks, 3 INT and 2 forced fumbles. Again fantasy points vs an awful Buffalo team. Green Bay is a much worse defense and was the optimal D last week that won $1 million. Please fade Buffalo completely. Giants at -7 Panthers (44.5) The Giants are frustrating because Eli Manning is just plain horrible right now. It makes it hard to love Beckham at his price vs a decent defense, though he can break a slant for a TD. I would be doing you injustice not to mention Beckham has the 3rd best WR/CB matchup on the board✅. Same for Shepherd, (who gets the 8th best✅), and he is certainly better priced. But on the low end of a 44.5 total with Eli at QB I will more than likely have little to no exposure. Saquan Barkley and his ✅35 targets however are somewhat in play any week with the targets and the carries. His rushing upside mixed with the pass, consistently will have him in play. Speaking of run and pass, did we watch Alvin Kamara vs the Giants. Insert Christian McCaffrey ✅✅✅. I do believe the Panthers roll here which puts C-Mac and Cam Newton ✅✅firmly in play and maybe even as a stack✅. His 26 targets leads the team and he is similarly used as Kamara. Devin Funchess has 4 red zone targets and sometimes he plays WR but as a defacto TE, especially near the goal line. With Olsen out, it could lead to an easy 6. But with the rushing ability that Cam possesses I usually prefer him naked✅ or only stacked with ✅McCaffrey. Cam’s TD passes usually have no rhyme or reason or pattern. Broncos vs -1 Jets (42.5) The Broncos did not look the best offensively and they let a lead slip away to KC. The Jets have been stingy in terms of fantasy production allowed across the board. In such a low total game vs a not so bad defense, I just don’t see myself rostering anybody here. The backfield is being split up, and until we see firepower with Keenum and Sanders, there is just too much to target elsewhere. As for the Jets same goes. I’ve liked the targets that Enunwa is getting but I’m not eager to target Denver’s Chris Harris either. I do have silent shameful interest in the Jets defense✅✅however. Falcons vs -3 Steelers (57.5) The total grows as the week progresses which forces you to consider exposure here. Ryan’s matchup is mid road yet appealing because of the total. I always tip toe around QBs who play in domes, but Ryan’s splits aren’t as bad. Matt Ryan✅ is a good NFL quarterback who is a defensive breakdown away from having a ring. He should be in your player pool along with Julio Jones ✅✅✅who has 46 targets this season. I will keep playing him here waiting on 6. Sanu ✅has 24 targets vs Ridleys 21. But Ridley✅✅ having 5 red zone targets (one more than Jones) is hard to fade. Do not let the experts tell us what is or isn’t sustainable. The line is close, the total is high. Stack away vs a bad Pittsburgh defense. On the other side I feel the same way. Ben to Brown ✅✅✅who is 2nd in the NFL in targets and Schuster✅✅ ✅who is 3rd with an amazing 11 red zone targets both make for almost must stacks in tournaments✅✅✅. Atlanta has shown no ability to slow anybody down. Ryan Switzer✅ at minimum price also makes for a great pay who is a WR by name but runs his routes out of the backfield. For consecutive seasons Atlanta is known to be one of the leagues worst vs pass catching backs (Gio Bernard last week✅). Makes one wonder if Pittsburgh has watched film and revert back to heavy use of James Conner✅✅? If so this would be the spot✅. Every offensive weapon should be on your radar. Including Vance McDonald✅ at TE. We loved Tyler Eifert last week✅and was fine until the injury. Go back to the well. Packers -1.5 vs Lions (50.5) Davante Adams ✅✅is by far Rodgers preferred target, followed closely by Allison, Cobb, and Jimmy Graham. Adams 43 targets is 13th best in the league. Allison and Cobb are both very questionable and either being out will move Adams up the tournament ladder on volume alone. He has seen 8 red zone targets✅ and would be in play regardless of the other wide outs health. Pay attention to practice and injury news here. Rodgers is the kind of QB that no matter what, he will throw 2-4 TDS per game. Adams could be a sneaky tournament play in a game with 50+ total. The Lions have a favorable matchup as well. Matt Stafford ✅should be in your QB pool this week along with Tate ✅and or Galladay✅. If Green Bay is ahead it kind of scripts out Kerryon Johnson and RB and becomes a pass heavy offense. If both Green Bay wide outs are out and the line moves to Detroit in their dome, then he may be a decent value if playing with the lead. Dolphins at -6 Bengals (49.5) The Dolphins do not draw a favorable matchup vs the Bengals in the early going. Tannehill spreads the ball around (and not at a huge volume), while their backfield is split between Kenyan Drake and the ageless Frank Gore. This side is a fade for me as they are heavy road dogs is my first read here. The Bengals on the other hand are primed for a positive matchup. I would prefer Tyler Boyd ✅over AJ Green✅, but both stack well with Andy Dalton✅✅ who has been playing great football thru 4 weeks. Eifert is out so there may be value at the TE spot with CJ Uzomah ✅and Tyler Kraft with Uzomah likely to be more involved. For the price I’m tempted to just fade for Vance McDonald but many others will as well. It appears Joe Mixon is returning which makes the backfield a stay away with he and Bernard for the short term and take a wait and see approach. Raiders vs -5 Chargers (53.5) The Raiders land in an interesting spot vs the Chargers yet I’m struggling to like individual matchups. I would be willing to roll out Derek Carr ✅here even naked because it’s such an interesting spot for passing offenses. However his caliber of WR are on the negative ends of their WR/CB matchups. We would think that Jared Cook ✅would be back in play as well after watching George Kittle run free in the secondary last week, but the Chargers have been second best vs the TE position in terms of fantasy production allowed. I have been afraid to pull the trigger but Marshawn Lynch✅ is in an excellent spot as the Chargers have been 7th worse vs the run. His carries have increased each week, he has 3 rushing TDs. He has also been targeted 2, 2, 4, and 5 targets out of the backfield which has increased each game. He has not reached the end zone thru the air but if he scores one and runs one any week he will beat value at his price. It has been hard in early builds to get away from the studs at RB, but he could be the pivot. It’s a 53.5 total and the Chargers have yet to shut anyone down. Call it narrative. Oakland hometown kid playing in Los Angeles. Could be something. The Chargers unexpectedly have been the worse in the league vs WR1 and 2nd worse vs WR2. But Cooper and Nelson ✅✅on paper don’t match up well vs the corners. But you can certainly take a shot in a 53.5 total. Not high on my list however. As much as Oakland is in a good spot so is LA. We saw Miami do it. We saw Cleveland really do it. Now Phillip Rivers✅gets a shot. Melvin Gordon is almost a must play✅✅✅as well. All he does is score TDs on the ground and in the air. He has 5 overall and has scored in every game and the Raiders are 4th worst vs the run and 5th worse vs pass catching backs. All receiving option for Rivers are in incredible spots with Keenan Allen(12th best on WR/CB chart)✅✅being the preferred target but it’s been very hard to trust any one player in the receiving corps. For this reason, I’m leaning towards Rivers and Gordon✅✅✅ only and search elsewhere for receivers. If I had to pick one it would be Mike Williams✅. But do not be afraid to take some shots on Keenan Allen. Cardinals vs. -4 49ers (40) It’s hard when you are an underdog vs a backup QB. But that is where the Cardinals are. I can’t endorse David Johnson as the opportunities for him haven’t been positive in such a negative offensive environment. Some will also endorse Christian Kirk as a cheap WR but again, not going their personally. My limits on the 49ers will be George Kittle ✅more than likely. He’s an excellent Vikings vs -3 Eagles -45.5 Minnesota comes in as road dogs and I’m struggling buying into the game at first glance. But some things keep jumping off the page here. Adam Thielen ✅✅leads the NFL with 56 targets, 3 ahead of Antonio Brown but at a cheaper price✅. He has two more red zone targets than Brown, and draws the 2nd best WR/CB matchup behind only Cooper Kupp. His teammate Stefan Diggs✅✅ has the 14th best matchup and is 9th in targets this season. Both make for great tournament plays as so much attention will be on Pittsburgh and Atlanta. Philly is usually stingy to TE, and Rudolph should only see 5-6 targets though he has a TD in every other game. None last week, and he is always a red zone threat. At that price, Vance McDonald in Pittsburgh is a much better play. In short feel free to stack Cousins, Thielen, and Diggs, ✅✅✅maybe all together in tournaments. If you do stack these 3, I would suggest running it back with Zach Ertz✅✅. Minnesota has given up the 7th most fantasy points to TE in this short season. Minnesota usually isn’t a team to target WRs with, but they have been beatable this season. Wentz is a QB who spreads the wealth and cases can be made for Agholor, and Jeffrey, but I’m sticking with ✅Wentz and✅ Ertz. I somewhat believe Wentz is past playing ginger since coming back from his ACL surgery. This will be a playoff atmosphere, and a rematch from last years playoffs. Expect effort and expect the game to hit the 50 mark. Rams-7 vs Seahawks (50.5) The Rams are road favorites in a not so tough anymore stadium in Seattle. Todd Gurley✅✅✅ is a cash game lock and certainly worth the pay up and floor and potential ceiling in tournaments. Jared Goff ✅✅is the next must have here and any 3 of his receivers are in play. Woods 34 targets. Cooks 33. Kupp 32. Gurley 20. You know what this offense is. We know where the ball goes. And we know this team efficiently scores. Kupp✅✅✅has 9 red zone targets and is the cheapest of the 3. He draws the best WR/CB matchup in the league. Woods ✅✅draws the 5th, and Cooks ✅with the 24th best making him and his price the least favorite of the 3. I would rank: Gurley. Kupp. Woods. Cooks. Russell Wilson is a gamer and will come to play and if he can keep it within 7 then the Rams will have to compete. If you do not believe they can, then consider the Rams defense✅✅as an elite play this week. Russell Wilson is getting traction this week but against the best team and one of the best defenses in the NFL I can’t endorse it. If I was playing the afternoon slate, Tyler Lockett✅would be firmly in play.
The OSG Report Week 2
Special shoutout to the OSG!
Philly -3 at Tampa (44) Tampa’s defense is not very good. They beat New Orleans mainly on offense and The Saints lack of defense. The Eagles offense should certainly feast. Nelson Agholor is a fine mid range play thought not a must play. Ajayi will come recommended purely on strength or lack there of from Tampa’s defense. But since joining Philly the volume isn’t there. I do have interest in the Philly defense✅ as well. I’m backing on Fitzpatrick and the offense to regress heavily especially if Desean Jackson is out. I do not believe Fitzpatrick will have the same success this week vs a stingy defense. However I believe he is a better QB than advertised and certainly better than Winston who is not a guaranteed lock to start after the suspension. For this reason you can take a shot in tournaments on Fitz. He has never had a WR like Mike Evans and Deshaun Jackson who is in the concussion protocol. So for a leverage play vs a defense that may gain traction I have no problem with a Fitz-Evans stack. Chiefs at -4.5 Steelers (53) KC Chiefs did certainly look good in week 1 and was on the positive side of the matchup with the Chargers. A first year QB on the road is never a recommendation of mine. Not that Pittsburgh’s defense is stellar. But he will certainly throw the ball down field. ✅You can certainly take some shots on Tyreek Hill✅as he and Mahomes seem to have a good connection going. Kareem Hunt and Hill are the best guesses as Mahomes and Kelce have yet to connect and TEs vs Pittsburgh has never been the best target from a fantasy perspective. Pittsburgh is going to be a popular stack and for reason. ✅ Conner did not disappoint. This is what they do. Whether Bell, DeAngelo Williams, or James Conner, they run their offense. And KC is going to be a defense we pick on all season. Hence the 53 over. This will be a pattern until further notice. Ben at home. Conner. And based on WR/CB rankings Antonio Brown has the best matchup on the board this week at home. Please do yourself a favor and fire up this stack ✅✅. If you do make multiple lineups do not be afraid to pivot To JuJu Smith-Schuster ✅as the entire secondary for KC is bad. Indy at Washington-5.5 (46) Andrew Luck returned and was thrown right back into “carry the team” mode. While Eric Ebron did catch the TD, Jack Doyle did receive an almost team high 10 targets and is the go to guy. Hilton saw 11 targets and only converted 5 and one score. Washington will try to slow the game down a bit and now you take a dome team on the road. I don’t have much interest here. However Jack Doyle ✅should be in your player pool this week and every week moving forward. Despite the market share and production his price NEVER increases. Fire him up. On the other side, Jordan Reed✅ will also be the play here against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Alex Smith of course mainly threw to his backs in Chris Thompson and Reed. But the outside WR core is very mediocre and carry low price tags however. A decent line and TD catch can pay off. Jamison Crowder is the best candidate. I don’t believe I will chase the GOAT Peterson as we saw his ceiling and now his price increased. However Washington could ride him to keep the place down. But my exposure will be limited to Reed and maybe ✅Thompson being a WR in a RB spot. Small chance of a TD reception. And a running TD. If you can guess the positive side of Washington and it’s receiving core this is a low owned value stack to target✅. I also have interest in the Washington defense this week. ✅ Carolina at -5 Atlanta (44) Back to the Panthers. Back to Cam. I never get him right. Play him bust. Fade him, success. He gets a matchup in a dome without his starting TE. I do believe we go back to him and McCaffrey stack ✅and ride it out. If there is one thing in DFS is if you get the same team in a decent matchup play it again after it fails. The Falcons LB Deion Jones hit the IR so covering C-Mac will now be a challenge. He was decent last week but will be better this week in the dome. Funchess will have a tough WR/CB matchup and is always in play to catch a random TD from Newton but we will have better options in this price range. On the other side. Julio. Julio. Julio. ✅✅Did we know that he has busted this team for 300 yards. I usually avoid division rivals but Julio’s track record vs Carolina cannot be avoided. And after 19 targets Atlanta’s bum O coordinator may have finally gotten the memo. Just feed him. He is an excellent pivot off of what will be a heavily owned Antonio Brown. But if you want to be heavy on the field PLAY THEM BOTH✅✅. You may not need to stack him with Matt Ryan but if Julio goes for 300 yards Ryan could throw for 400. Also look to Tevin Coleman✅ if D. Freeman is ruled out. Almost a must play with his value price if this is the scenario. He averages 19 touches a game with Freeman out of the lineup. LA Chargers-7.5 vs Buffalo Bills (43) Phillip Rivers was very impressive week 1 and gets an even better matchup. Everything on paper says play the ✅Rivers-Allen stack again, and please pay Melvin Gordon ✅. This is a very bad Bills team and will be a target as long as Buffalo is not at home (which they are this week) and the weather is bad (which it isn’t this week). The only thing the matchup will not tell you is that this is a West coast team traveling east for a 1PM eastern start. Beyond that this is one of the best matchups on the board for an offense. Do not play anything from the Buffalo Bills. Houston -2 @ Tennessee If you were as crazy as me to play Watson and Hopkins vs New England then you may as well okay him here as well. Hopkins represents the 6th best WR/CB matchup and for the price it’s hard to target Hopkins as oppose to the others. Which does mean he will get lower ownership. I’m not sure when I’ll get excited to play the Tennessee Titans. They have to play Indy (which they will do twice) before I personally will consider the Titans. Corey Davis ✅can be considered as a cheap WR option to fit in the big name and big prices of some studs this week. Miami at NY Jets-3 (44) Quincy Enunwa can be added to your player pool. Everything else on both offenses can be a wait and see approach until further notice. Cleveland at New Orleans -8.5 (50) Back to finally good stuff. Jarvis Landry was a target monster last week as expected. The weather slowed this team down. But they are playing in the best environment on the board. It is a road game and I was high on Tyrod Taylor. While he did not smash he did do well/decent. At his price range and the dome Tyrod Taylor✅is an excellent play Sunday. Landry ✅is viable in a stack with him and so is Josh Gordon✅who is expected to see a larger snap count. Carlos Hyde got most early work, and Duke Johnson got the pass and third down work. Either back is risky, and I understand it, but there is a little better clear cut value elsewhere. On the other side of the game if you do believe the Browns will not show up, or is forced into any amount of turnovers, the Saints defense could be a viable tournament play. But offensively this will be a place to target. Brees to Michael Thomas once again ✅and despite it being on “limited” touches for a RB Alvin Kamara ✅✅is always a must play in the dome. Though he is not a ground and pound back they work him into the offense to get maximum efficiency out of those touches. And the Browns will not stop him here. Arizona at LA Rams -13. (46) The Cardinals are road dogs by 13. Pass Anytime a team at home are heavy favorites, you start with the defense and the RB in Todd Gurley✅✅ and stack him with the Rams defense ✅✅. Gurley is an excellent tournament play because so many players (including me) will try to pair Conner and Kamara like last week. Detroit at SF -5.5 (47.5) Here is one of the higher totals for an under 50 game that is possible to go over 50. SF struggled to hold the slot last week and Stafford ✅alone without the stack is viable in tournaments. But stacking I would take shots on all 3. Golladay, Tate And Marvin Jones. ✅ Jimmy G ✅is back in play as he had a tough matchup vs a good secondary. This is not the case this week. He can paired with Kittle at TE✅ but I’m still not sure which WR will emerge as his favorite. I was willing to take a chance on Goodwin✅in a tough matchup so I’m obligated to repeat that process vs a worst matchup. New England +2 at JAX (45) So many players will want to pay down at TE as there is value which makes ✅✅Gronk once again a great tournament play. He’s priced like a second tier WR and is the best option for the best QB in the league. James White ✅could be in for heavy work if Rex Burkhead is ruled out. These days concussion protocols are rarely cleared after just one week. It is a late start in the afternoon and utilize late swaps ✅✅so it is worth monitoring. I played Chris Hogan as oppose to Dorset last week but I do not typically play WR vs Jacksonville. I will probably stick to Gronk and White but maybe not pay up for Brady this week as it is a tough defense. New England did defeat the Jags in the playoffs but did not steam roll them. Also the New England defense ✅is an excellent play. I will want to see what the New England defense is about before I target them heavily in fantasy. No jags players for me. Oakland at Denver (-6) 45 Three words for Oakland. Play Jared Cook✅. He’s a value TE and is another good spot. Gruden knows matchups. On the Denver side. Case Keenum✅was last year and is officially playable at his price week in and week out until he faces a tough defense and secondary. Sanders and Thomas ✅are excellent stacks with Keenum as well.
The OSG Fantasy Report
Special shoutout to our OSG for these fantasy tips:
Pittsburgh -5.5 at Cleveland (46.5) I’m always a fan of stacking Big Ben and Antonio Brown. But do not confuse Cleveland’s record last season with having a bad defense. The Steelers have not gone into Cleveland and hung big numbers on their division rival. So the price you have to pay for the combo doesn’t come at a low price. However they are so good that they can break any matchup any week. ✅. So Antonio Brown is an excellent play and I can’t talk you off of him✅. They have years of a working relationship and will have very little kinks to work out. If Antonio is priced too high, pivot to JuJu Smith-Schuster. ✅James Connor✅ in the backfield can be some value with Bell missing week 1. Again, Cleveland was one of the best run defenses last season although they struggled with pass catching backs. So if he is a plug and play in Bell’s role with the price and machine that Pittsburgh is, he could present some value. There are other value backs gaining traction so he could go over looked as I usually do not enjoy playing offenses in division games. They know each other well. Cleveland is a mystery to me for week 1. Yes Josh Gordon can go wild. Yes Jarvis Landry can get 8-10 targets. I just think they are a little risky which sets up for great tournament plays of course. ✅With a new QB in place I always approach these week 1s with caution. Though I love David Njoku ✅at tight end. Mainly because of their new QB whom loved to throw to Charles Clay in Buffalo. Tyrod Taylor ✅checks in as an excellent play in all formats. His ability to throw with better weapons than he’s ever had mixed with his run ablilty has had him consistently hitting value for his price. Although I hate division games this isn’t the Steel Curtain he’s facing. Add him to your player pool. Cincinnati at Indy -3 (46.5) If there is one team I’ve stacked too much it’s the Cincinnati Bengals. How long can Andy Dalton play with a guy like AJ Green and be mediocre? I guess I should say I play Green too much. It’s not him that has failed me. It’s Dalton’s inability to get him the ball downfield. With that said any combo of AJ Green with Dalton or second year WR John Ross should be ok against one of the worst secondaries from a year ago inside of a dome. However I prefer AJ Green without the Dalton stack ✅. If Joe Mixon✅ is going to be a bell cow he too can be depended on to be in a position to run for 80-100 yards and see the end zone. If you a PPR site player Gio Bernard can add some value and a potential pass catching TD for a running back. If Andrew Luck is healthy and gets blocked for, TY Hilton ✅could enjoy success Sunday. 8-10 targets. A potential 100 yard game, and maybe 2TDs inside of his home dome where he is so much more effective. While I believe Marlon Mack is the guy, you could see a committee out of the backfield. This is a stay away from me. —both tight ends here can be of value. Tyler Eifert while he is still healthy. And Jack Doyle. ✅He played almost all of Lucks snaps in the preseason. And can be forgotten about. SF at Minn-6 (46) Finally some Jimmy G in my life again. However he comes out of the gate as a road dog against one of the better pass defenses from last season. Again, however this game is in a dome and once Jimmy G took over last season, the 49ers were at the top each week in plays per game. They moved at face pace and the game could shoot out. Jimmy G to Goodwin ✅can be a boom or bust stack but I’m thinking boom this week. Throw in Garçon ✅whom looked good last year with below average quarterbacks. Pairing him with George Kittle ✅for red zone TDS could pay off as well. I’m not a fan of Carlos Hyde and Matt Breida. But this is a well coached team with an excellent old school player and analyst turn GM. They will run the ball inside the 5. If you guess right between the two then kudos. But I am fading that situation. Minnesota will probably gain more ownership being 6 point favorites at home. And rightfully so. The faster SF plays the more chances Minnesota gets. My only hesitation is Kirk Cousins still needing to work on timing with Diggs and Thielen. Cousins enjoys pushing the ball up field. And this is usually only a week 1-2 issue for me. New QBs in a new system with new weapons. It just takes time. If you’re not worried about that then a full stack across multiple lineups are recommended.✅ Cousins-Diggs. Cousins-Diggs. Kyle Rudolph on his own to fill in TE. Even Dalvin Cook who was off to a great start before tearing his ACL last season. But Latavius Murray may split carries with him. Maybe even goal line work to ease Cook back. Splits are hard to roster. You’re guessing 50/50 Houston at New England -7 (51) Finally a 50 over/under. Deshaun Watson was lights out and I expect that to continue week 1. Can he be that efficient? Probably not. But I’m going to take a chance. ✅Deandre Hopkins can have a college QB and he still gets 10-12 targets or more and I will have Watson-Hopkins stacks ✅. Will fuller is a boom or bust play. But the biggest surprise is how much Lamar Miller was so much more effective with Watson in. He should see goal line work IF and that’s a big if Houston moves the ball upfield. New England’s pass defense grades out much better than their run D. New England is the for the first time in a long time bringing off season drama into week 1. That could fire up Tom Brady in a fast pace 50 over game. He’s priced high but “guaranteed” to have success. I just always see this with New England. They come out slow in September. ✅Everybody downs them and then they pick it up as the season progresses and eases into the top of a weak AFC East. Buffalo. The jets. Miami. Easy street. I would normally love Rex Burkhead as New England runs the ball inside the 5 and is an excellent value play. ✅ Chris Hogan is WR1 and is dirt cheap. He could see 10-12 targets.✅ Gronk is priced high and is like a WR. He went 8/89, 1TD here last season so by all means play Gronk✅. I’m not into the fringe play of Sony Michel this week as he is banged up. But it is Billichek. Anybody can catch or run a TD. Anytime. Tennessee -1 at Miami (45.5) Maybe I’m wrong but I’m fading Tennessee as I frequently did last season. I will say this however. They have a new coach. New pass catching back with Dion Lewis and with no Demarco Murray, Derrick Henry steps in as a RB1. But I’m not sure how they split these two backs. Until Mariotta shows me something in week 1 I’m off of this offense until I can figure them out. We should note that Mariotta is efficient once in the red zone and can get it done on the ground and get in the end zone. That’s why I would rather have him alone as oppose to a stack. But give my Tyrod Taylor over him all day. Miami is almost as unappealing. There’s always a butt. There was some weeks that But-Cutler was relevant to fantasy. And if you can work with cutler you can work with Ryan Tannehill. Landry is gone and Parker may miss week 1 which would firmly place a cheap Danny Amendola✅ high on the list in cash games and tournaments. He’s determined to make a statement after leaving New England. And could be placed in a large role and Tennessee’s pass defense is not the best although not the worst. For the price and volume you can take a chance if you believe Miami can move the ball and score 2-3 touchdowns. And if you believe that you can say the same argument for Kenyan Drake ✅who is being touted in the Pre season and was very usable in fantasy last season. I will have shares of Drake. But I don’t see a reason to chance it with Tannehill. Tampa Bay at New Orleans -9.5 (49.5) It would be hard for me to roster Evans and Godwin even with Famous Jameis. Now he’s suspended for the first four games. And we add a true back up. They will be playing from behind and could lead to some garbage time touchdowns. New Orleans is the spot to target starting with Drew Brees. He could spread the ball around and you have to place Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn, Jr. for the Big play capability. “They” say Alvin Kamara is due for negative regression when it comes to effiency. But sometimes “they” are wrong. If they get a lead, Mike Gillislee (while Mark Ingram is suspended) could take some carries. But the reason for the lead is going to be Brees-Kamara-Thomas-Gin✅ somehow. They are on a positive side of a 49 over under in the dome at home where they have been explosive. Jax -3 at NYG (44) This game has a low total. The cheap WR for Jacksonville may be chalk. I would rather take the guaranteed load of Leonard Fournette as oppose to the pass game. I’ve lived and died on Blake Bortles more than I would like to admit. This game is one of the lower totals. But I could see myself taking a shot on Dede Westbrook over Keenan Cole. While the Giants prospect may be better this year. I will not jump on that train vs The Jax defense. While I like the Barkley addition and Evan Engram to get better this is not an ideal offense to target. From a game theory perspective however, Jalen Ramsey may shadow Odell Beckham which could funnel targets to the tight as happened last season. My exposure will not go past Engram and Barkley. Buffalo at Baltimore -7 (41) If you can name the starting QB in Buffalo here then you can play him. The total is very low here. Long term we may have interest in Crabteee and John Brown in the future but maybe not here. But we do love Alex Collins✅. He is at a great price point to garner 100 yards and a touchdown or two. He’s a touchdown favorite at home vs. a bad team. KC at LA Chargers -3.5 (47.5) I’m very excited about the Chiefs this year. Hunt and Hill should be targets for big plays all season. Hill is risky this week vs a very very good Chargers secondary. He does feel that Mahomes can hit him in strides and this makes for the big play. One 80 yard TD strike along with 2-4 catches for 20 a more yards is decent. But if that’s what you’re banking on then maybe not. We want efficiency in fantasy and this is a defense you do not want to target. Hunt could also see plenty of work and is my preferred target here this week. The Chargers on the other hand we can target. KC projects to be one of the worst defenses this season and will be a target spot all year. ✅Play Melvin Gordon here while he is healthy for sure. He will get pass work. Goal line work and in between the 20 work. 20-25 touches. 1-2 touchdown upside is what we search for and this could be a prime spot for it. I’m less excited about Phillip Rivers as I never get him right. Kills me in excellent matchups, thrives when I fade him in tough spots. Regardless he to Keenan Cole is an excellent stack. -speaking of stacking. ✅ Sometimes you want to run a stack back with an opposing team. If you think the chargers have a lead maybe it forces mahomes to throw more. So you either target him and hill or hunt for garbage TDS or the Chargers defense for Turnovers if he throws too much. Im siding with the Chargers defense. ✅ Seattle at Denver -2.5 (42) Seattle is still not a team I like to target. I used to do the Wilson Baldwin connection. But until they show me something I’m off of this team. Especially as road dogs in the altitude vs a good defense. I may enjoy Denver’s long term success but with a very low over of 42 this isn’t ideal. If you’re forced into it on an afternoon slate Emanuel Sanders was a target monster with well below average QB play. So with an upgrade in QB with Case Keenum, whom also loves to target the slot, you can make a case for their stack. I would avoid the split RB situation until we see definite results. Washington at Arizona (even) (44) Don’t you just love games with no favorite. That’s Vegas saying “I give up” Washington got check down Charlie I mean Alex Smith in the off-season. I’m interested in seeing how this offense shakes out. I targeted Washington a lot the past two years. I successfully placed in tournaments with Kirk Cousins and Jordan Reed. With smith there who loves to check down, this week could be a Jordan Reed week ✅. If he’s fully healthy, and can find a connection with Smith, he has 80 yard 1-2 TD upside similar to Gronk but with a lighter price. I’m also interested to see if Adrian Peterson can cut thru holes behind a decent offensive line. But he will split with Chris Thompson and Fat Rob Kelley. I’m not interested in AZ much more. Always a butt. Larry Fitzgerald will have a plus matchup in the slot with Sam Bradford back in our lives. If you want to target older players you do it early in the season while everybody is healthy and fresh. David Johnson however is young and back and is an excellent play in all formats✅. He runs. He catches. He scores! Dallas at Carolina Dallas used to be a favorite target of mine with Dak and Zeek. This is because we know where the offense is coming from. I would not target any pass catchers here. Dak is playable but this will be a slow paced game. Dallas plays slow and run the ball. Carolina plays slow. Probably so Cam won’t have to throw so much 🤔. However Ezekiel Elliott is playable in all formats ✅week in and week out until further notice. Rumors say he is expected to get more pass game work. Which is now more than ever needed without Dez or Whitten. Carolina will be appealing for two things this week. Legs. The legs of Cam should provide fantasy upside ✅and is a great tournament play this week. Christian McCaffrey is expected to be more of a runner this year and not just a pass catching player. The likely chance that McCaffrey catches a TD pass and runs one could make the Cam-McCaffrey stack viable✅. Funchess or Olsen is more likely to catch a TD from Cam than Allen Hurns. But Cam is the kind of WB you don’t have to stack.

NBA DFS Lesson Plan 5/19/17 - Yahoo
Thoughts for Friday’s games.
Link to Friday FanDuel Lesson Plan
Risk Kawhi?: Kawhi Leonard was unable to practice on Thursday, and is very questionable to play on Saturday. The Spurs desperately need him to play, and Saturday will be Day 7 since the injury. But the fact that he hasn’t practiced nor been declared ready is very worrisome on the day before the game starts. The more-so because the DFS contest starts today. One positive to the Yahoo system is that a player doesn’t lock in your line-up until their game starts, so if someone did start Kawhi, they would have until the Spurs game tips on Saturday to replace him. Also, Kawhi and Kevin Durant are the same price, so if someone started Kawhi they could drop-in Durant with no additional money all the way up to the game.
