Ruby’s idea of being careful was to cut as many Grimm as possible into as many pieces as possible as fast as possible. How else could you make sure they would never ever hurt anyone else again?

This was common knowledge for anyone who had gone on a single hunt with Ruby Rose.

So Weiss supposed she shouldn’t be so surprised, so incensed, when Ruby looked up from her hospital bed and answered Weiss’s furious “You brainless senseless dolt! I told you to be careful!” with a puzzled stare.

“But, I was careful…? The whole pack was confetti in like, less than ten seconds-”

It was her leg that was broken this time, not her neck, though only thanks to sheer dumb luck and quick reflexes. Thus Weiss felt absolutely no guilt for lobbing the extra pillow right into her partner’s stupid face.

Apparently Ruby needed some help relearning what the definition for the word ‘careful’ actually was.

It most certainly did not involve almost scaring Weiss to death. 

And it absolutely would require using crutches for exactly the prescribed amount of time, baleful puppy eyed stare be damned.
