I want to bang you like a window that wont close, YamatoShisui. Please, Rae indulge me.
“I want – oh my god, no. I can’t do it.”
Shisui scrunched his brows together with confusion, watchingYamato turn around and walk away only moments after storming over with a verydetermined face. It might have had something to do with the drink in his hand,amber and half empty, which Shisui was pretty sure had to be at least thefourth or fifth of the evening.
He tracked the man’s movements as he returned to the groupof friends he had come with, mostly made up of members from his old ANBU squad,only to have all of them bully him in to turning around a second time andmarching back across the room. The poor man could have fried an egg on his facewith that blush but he straightened his back courageously and lifted his chin.
“I w-want to bang you like a window that won’t close!”
“Uh…”
Despite how careful he usually was with them, Shisui waspretty sure his eyes were about to fall out of his head. Had he really justheard that correctly? Behind Yamato, his friends were practically falling overthemselves laughing. He could clearly hear them and his shoulders were growingstiffer and stiffer by the moment but Shisui did have to commend him for havingthe bravery to wait for a reaction.
“They,er, they didn’t put you up to this by any chance, did they?” He tried not tostare when Yamato swallowed nervously but the bob of his throat was sort ofmesmerizing.
“Well, they did tell me what to say,” the other manadmitted. “But only because I couldn’t think of anything to say myself. Senpaisaid you would think it was funny.”
“Oh.” Shisui spared a venomous glare for Kakashi, who wavedback with unrepentant fluttering fingers.
“Maybe I should go.”
Yamato made as though to leave again but Shisui managed tocatch his arm before he could turn very far around. “Wait, no, hold on. Doesthat mean you wanted to come and talk to me before they sent you off with thatline?”
After visibly twisting himself in to several knots,eventually Yamato blurted out his thoughts without filter.
“I wanted to come hit on you but I’m really terrible atflirting!” As soon as the words were out he clapped both hands over his mouthand closed his eyes in mortification. For his sake, Shisui was very glad thebar was crowded enough that no one near them would have overheard that. He looked embarrassed enough already.
“Well…Isuppose I’ll have to offer Kakashi my thanks at some point for giving you something to say. But then I’ll have tokill him right after for making you say something that made you souncomfortable.” Setting down his beer, Shisui slid in to the man’s personalspace with a leer. “Now about that ‘bang me like a window’ plan. I happen to bevery interested in following up on that train of thought.”
Yamato gaped at him for a moment. Then he tossed back theend of his drink, set it aside, and took the hand Shisui offered him. It waswith a great deal of satisfaction that Shisui led him away, amused to note thefriends who had just been laughing at them weren’t laughing anymore.
