Fanfic requests and Headcanons are NOT restricted to Kakashi. I will write for any character as long as i think that i am able to do them some justice.
If you want a ship, please choose between characters in the show. I am not a confident writer of CharacterXReader fics.
Any ship is welcome so long as it is not student/teacher or incest. (Student/Teacher does reach out to include the other characters' students. I will not write Kakashi or any other Sensei with any of the Konoha kids, or any of their sensei’s with anyone from Kakashi’s generation.)

The Au’s are never closed. We can talk about them any time, and if you feel like bring the focus back to an old AU you are more than welcome to.
AU’s can range from little changing (Like Kakashi and Gai adopt Naruto or the Uchiha Massacre doesn’t happen), to the entire world being completely different (Pokemon AU, Mafia AU). There are even AU’s where the character’s we love come from different villages or are stolen by different villages (Mist Gai AU, IWA Gai Au, Suna Kakashi au, Samurai Kakashi AU)
The only thing I ask is if you want to talk about a more horrors au, please ask me first. I can do simple things like Zombie AU, but I find it difficult to get into certain topics of gore.

Do not insert your headcanons over my own. Headcanons are always open for discussion, but if you say something that makes’s me uncomfertable/i don’t like it, that’s it. You’re welcome to have your own headcanons on your blog.
I do write Trans Kakashi/Kakashi having a kid. Those things are both up for discussion. However, my Kakashi would only ever have one child. It would be by choice, and his partner would never ask or try to force him to have more.
Hatake Kakashi
Kakashi is depressed, is terrible with people and emotions, and would much prefer to spend quality time with one of his two best friends rather than interacting with other people. This does not mean he doesn’t understand other’s or want to create other connections, he’s simply an introvert who’s pretty good at making/claiming friends.
Kakashi is, also, very much a troll. If he senses that something he does bothers someone (without infringing on their comfort or safety) he will use it to troll the shit out of them for as long as he gains entertainment from it.
Loyal to a fault, he will fight and die to protect those he considers his friends and teammates. Kakashi does not take teamwork lightly and will not put up with anyone who would rather ‘go it alone’ instead of working with their team.
Laidback but not at all lazy. Kakashi will have times where he gets lost in his thoughts and loses track of time, but when it comes to getting important things done he will make the deadline.
I’m always in love with the idea that a fight goes wrong one day and Kakashi get’s captured because he takes a hit for one of his friends
Maybe even Kushina or Minato
And by the time he’s found he’s beaton, bloody, maybe missing a finger, and laughing about it because he did not go down without one hell of a fight.
He lost one finger, his torturer lost two, both at the same time when Kakashi got his mouth on them and bite down HARD.
Kakashi’s beaton and bloody? He’s pretty sure one of the guys who took a swing st him is never having kids cuz he connected his steel toe boots HARD with the man’s groin.
Kakashi’s first panic attack in front of Shikaku was a big one. He saw a shadow in the window just as shikaku passed it, and when Shikaku heard weezing he turned to see Kakashi curling into himself struggling to breath.
Everyone was kicked out in that moment. Kakashi was 12 and was still new to the gang, and Shikaku was not about to let him become a joke when he could see how valuable he would be.
Shikaku say with him for two hours just chatting. The first ten minutes was getting Kakashi through the panic attack, including sitting beside him with his back to the wall because he saw the attack getting worse everytime he got too close to the window.
Shikaku has his own trauma’s, and he doesn’t judge Kakashi for his. It’s one hell of a trauma.
He still expects the best from him (and gets it) but whenever he see’s a panic attack starting after that day (he learns to read the signs) he dismisses anyone else in the room, sit’s Kakashi down, and just stays with him as he works through it.
Rin liked Kakashi, but when they’re 14 she takes a really good look at him one day and just feels all those romantic feelings washing away never to return.
Kakashi had a crush on Obito, but one day he’s sparing with Gai and his rival compliments his fighting style in that sweet, supportive way that makes Kakashi’s heart skip a beat and after that day he can only see Obito as his annoying but lovable friend.
Obito had very strong feelings for Rin, but when she finally moves on from Kakashi only to fall for Shizune, he decides for himself he’s done pinning and he’ll accept friendship. Which is great cuz this man is going to meet Kisame out on a mission two weeks later and he us Inmidiatly done for
Part of Kushina’s struggle with Kakashi is that she can’t understand him.
She can’t fathem why he would choose the path he has when his father was a hero. Why he’d choose to kill when his father chose to save lives.
And this is partially because Kakashi won’t tell her why.
When it comes to his father, it’s easier for him to shut down any conversation because if he doesn’t he’s being violently ripped back in time looking at a dead body with blood all over his hands and no ability to do anything about it.
To Kakashi, his father was a good man who died a violent death for being a good man.
If the world’s not going to reward goodness, he’s not going to bother trying to be good. Of course the goodness in him isn’t completely gone.
But it’s buried deep down inside of him. So far down Kushina can’t reach him.
What prompted Kushina to join the police force in the Mafia AU?
So i want to say the standard ‘she wants to do good’ line, but i think it’s a but deeper than that.
I imagine something happened to Kushina’s family (sort of like in cannon) and in the process she was taken in by the cop’s until she could be picked ip by social services.
And that was both a terrible day, and a really good one because the cop watching her (i kinda want to say it’s Sakumo XD) was so sweet and understanding that she felt like she wasn’t alone processing all this trauma.
Like she actually had someone maybe rooting for her, or at least looking out for her
And she wants to be that someone.
Someone who can make a kid smile on the worst day of their lives. Or at least stop crying and enjoy a few precious moments.
Someone who can be a hero in a world that feels like it’s full of villains.
I think that’s something that resonates with Kushina. She wants to help people. To do good.
And she’ll fight against a whole slew of corrupt co-workers to be that shining light.
I love the idea of Gai’s breaking moment, the exact moment he’s ready to drop all thoughts of being the ‘good mafia goon’ is the moment he see’s Kakashi walk into their cover shop (through the back door) bloody and bruised because Danzo sent someone to try and scare him
And it didn’t work
Kakashi took one hell of a beating but also took down every single person who attacked him
But Gai just crack’s in that moment.
For the first time since his father’s death, he wants to murder someone
And he’s happy when he says this out loud and Kakashi responds with ‘save some for me. I deserve a good shot in for what i went through’
Kakashi always offers an out to his opponent. A chance for them to walk away and never have to see him again.
To date, no one has taken that out.
For the most part Kakashi’s ok with that. It’s part of the job. But sometimes, when the world feels particularly cruel, he gets to see the family that just got left behind because of him.
The people who will mourn a life that could have been more than what they all are.
It doesn’t stop him from doing his job
But it does make him physically ill as he deals with the realisation and the rising feelings about his father’s death that he buried so deep down he almost forgot about them.
How did Gai get into the Mafia. He's usually a noble, compassionate person who doesn't like causing harm for. Kakashi was born into it with his parents and with his past in ANBU, seeing him in the Mafia is pretty easy.
So how do you see Gai getting into this? Was it circumstantial? Intentional? Did he apply for a job in a cover up operation (like those Italian restaurants that are cover ups for other illegal businesses, usually money laundering) and after some shenanigans they invited him into the real business?
Like Gai was applying for a bus boy/ chef position, and he makes a MEAN spaghetti, so he came in with his resume and a bowl. And came out of the meeting with a new job offer as a bouncer/ bodyguard because they saw his background in mixed martial arts, and he was like "well a job's a job and I can guard a couple of crates for a night."
So, Kakashi wasn’t born into it. It’s actually the opposite.
Sakumo was the chief of Police. That’s what Kakashi was raised with till he was 5, and at 5 if you asked him what he wanted to be he’d say a cop.
But then something horrible happened (if you want to know i can make another post) and Kakashi was thrown a hard curve ball in life. Ultimately he was picked up by Shikaku when he was around 15 because he showed anger and promise as a fighter, so Shikaku (a gang boss) gave Kakashi an offer.
Join him and he’d make sure he had the strength and support to become even stronger.
As a kid who lost everything in one terrible day, Kakashi clung to that.
For Gai it was sort of similar. He was the kid of a shop owner (i haven’t decided what type yet) that was under Shikaku’s protection with payments.
Dai didn’t mind paying cuz he recognised shikaku’s gang was one of the better ones to deal with. He wasn’t always able to make payments right away, but Shikaku was willing to be lenient to him knowing the money would come (he was one of very few who got that leniency because he didn’t take advantage of/abuse it in Shikaku’s eyes. He paid, just not always exactly on time)
But then another gang tried to come in demanding payment, and Dai said no. He made the call to Shikaku, but it was too late by the time thry showed ip.
What Choza arrived to find was Dai on the ground bleeding out, and his 15 yr old son sitting on the gang member who’s shot him and beating the ever loving sh*t out of him.
Choza recognised in-ate talent there, and took Gai under his wing and into the gang.
Gai’s also not someone who goes looking for a fight. He’s a body guard because he’s the one who won’t punch first, but he will ensure he’s the one landing the last punch.
I will say, between Kakashi and Gai Kakashi is 100% more likely to resort to murder, and that’s something Gai does have to adjust to over the years.
But by the time he does it becomes a none issue for him to see Kakashi call in the hounds and draw his gun.
At the start he’s part of the Uchiha gang, but after Itachi’s massacre of the gang he is very much on his own.
He has a choice to make: Rebuild, or branch out.
He chooses to branch out and do things on his own. He does have the support of Rin, and the very tense but mutually protective Support of Kakashi
But he’s no longer part of any single gang, instead preferring to take jobs from multiples for money.
And the really morally grey part is he will take any job if the price is right. This man HAS stabbed kids and Kakashi and other’s have fought him over it.
But he’s also very elusive and able to vanish into thin air almost, so catch him is not an easy task.
