I started watching code blue again because I currently have a huge yamapi hangover! So I started with the first episode, and this time, I want to rewatch it to see how the characters interact more than the storyline development since I already know it. I like how they started the drama; there is no backstory to any of the 4 main characters, and they just start off with the main hospital setting. They are pitted against each other and are called rivals by their instructor-mentor, Kuroda sensei. Now there’s this first scene where Aizawa and Shiraishi talk, and he says, let’s stop being unfriendly and be normal since we have to talk to each other so clearly. I also think Aizawa took Kuroda’s dialogue in the op room seriously. He says stick to people with skills or something, and Aizawa talking to Shiraishi in that context makes sense as he clearly knows she is really smart. While Kazuo tries making conversations with Aizawa, he simply does not care, even when called to sit with him at the same table. But once he sits at the table, Aizawa gets chatty? I did not even remember this part, and they all have normal conversations like colleagues. I love how natural toda is in the scene where Shiraishi has her surgery cap on. LOL
Ok, Aizawa really opens up to Shiraishi- he detailed his emotions while on the site doing the amputation, and Shiraishi was sort of intimidated by how confident he is! Aizawa was really proud of himself at the end of the episode; it was sad for Kozue and Shiraishi and bittersweet for hiyama
