Oh oh oh okay. Zabuza’s on a quest to find a legendary magical sword, but during a fight his magic goes haywire (there’s a reason he’s a swordsman and not a mage, okay), hits a tree, and turns it into a man. By the laws of magic, Zabuza is now responsible for Tenzo, but Tenzo just saw Zabuza knock down five trees and snap him into a human body in the middle of winter this is hibernation time asshole, and he’s more likely to try and murder Zabuza with a pair of sticks than let him help in any way.
