Yandere Concept: Vil poisoning his darling with a slow acting poison and if they don't behave he won't give them the antidote (a temporary one of course) this is how he gets them to be obedient. Only one day he can't make it back in time to administer the antidote, or doesn't have any more or something. Darling starts freaking out.... only nothing happens. It was all just a lie to control them. Maybe the first time it was a poison that made them feel sick to ensure a point but he would never actually put his darlings life in danger.
