Today, by far, had been an awful day. First, Kuroo nearly lost his golf ball in the sewer after a building shift had made him almost lose his balance. With his cat-like relfexes, however, he managed to save himself as well as his golf ball. Then, some little girl had elected to pull his hair when he was trying to pick out which brand of bread he wanted from a lower shelf because, according to her, it reminded her of 'puffy kitty cat fur.' He pitied any poor cat that came in contact with the girl, honestly. Her mother had managed a half-assed apology before ushering her giggling child out of the store with a bag of fluffy, pink cotton candy. Parenting these days, right?
And now, there was this... The train missed by only a few seconds by the middle blocker, who was in the midst of catching his breath after realizing he was incredibly late. Luckily for him, and not so lucky for the other man, Kuroo wasn't the only one who had missed his chance to board. He watched as this new individual dashed onto the platform. It was a pity, really. He was even more late than Kuroo.
Putting on an almost mocking grin, Kuroo tilted his his head at the other male as he strode over. Whoever this man was, his hair was certainly, well... unique, which he never thought he'd think about anyone other than himself. It almost reminded him of a flag, billowing in the breeze. "Ehhh," he starts, his tone light and teasing. "Looks like you missed the train. Better luck next time, huh?" The middle blocker's gaze trails to a clock high on the wall, ticking loudly in the all too quiet station. "If you wait about 30 minutes, the next train should come around. That's not too long, right, Flag-kun?"
It's definitely too long, Kuroo thought bitterly. In Tokyo, trains were often coming and going on an easy and quick schedule. Missing the first train to school wasn't the end of the world. But this schedule was definitely a bit of a hindrance.
