    That smile may be present, but it was very much fake. He didn’t want the blonde to get upset over him being anything but happy. It was...more or less a white lie due to not feeling as down as he usually was, but just a mixture of other emotions had a war with each other. Thus causing some sadness to linger. The ginger hoped that his little facade did the trick.

       “Please, continue telling me about what happened.”

         The sun is sinking.

                                    The cicadas are loud and ever-present. And today is one of those days when Lucas has to go home with Kumatora. Today, his father will be working late on the EVAs and synchronization and the Magi, again. Today, he’s here, at Kumatora’s side with Boney in tow, again.

                                    ( Feeling like something is missing. Again. )

                                    Lately, though, Nana has been coming along with him — not directly from NERV, of course, but she’s been coming. The more they’ve talked ( and there’s been a lot of talking ), the more Lucas realized: Nana just doesn’t spend much time at home. So, recently, he’s starting inviting her along to Kumatora’s late in the evening, after school and after work, and Kumatora hasn’t minded a bit. If anything, the two of them also seem to be getting along well, always talking of engineering and the EVAs.

                                    So, when Lucas climbs the last flight of steps, following Kumatora and followed by Boney, he isn’t surprised to see Nana already standing by the door. Boney yaps in familiar greeting, hurrying to her side.

What a pretty girl.

Ana made a point not to stare, in a way, the young lady in question made her think of Paula. Both, very pretty in her humble opinion. Older perhaps, however. She looked to the beach, the sand, and then back to her. 

She felt familiar. For some reason she couldn’t really explain. She avoided focusing on her too hard. To avoid making her uncomfortable. Maybe she should talk to her? Yeah, it felt like the thing to do.

the blonde stood, brushing off the sand off her dress, and ignoring the sensation of it in her shoes. With that, she made her approach.

“Hi! Are y’standing here alone?” Sure hope that doesn’t startle her.

If one didn’t know him better, the Commander might have cracked a smile. Just a little one, but still a smile. It was rather funny to catch Nana out here. she looked a bit sore, though, and the Commander did not find that funny.

“Yes, it has been a while, I have been busy with work. Additionally, I had a small upgrade that kept me base bound for a few weeks. I apologize for not telling you, but it’s not like I can contact you normally.”

Casually, he slipped down to the ground and sat in front of her. “I originally came here to ask you a question, but you don’t seem well. Have you been having trouble sleeping?”
