What I find most funny about shadow slave is that yes humanity finally overcame misogyny, toxic masculinity (main characters being literally being short king somewhat a househusband and still being most deadly (ha.) Man on earth, kai literally without problem asking sunny what skin products he uses likes its most normal thing ever (it is) ) NOCTIS in his ancient time going around with nail Polish (and liner to??? But idk if that really happend or my hcs get meshed up) toxic feminine and gender disputes, (dont even get me started on weaver ) homophobia ( that is not outright stated and we do not have any canonically queer characters but come on most of the cast is outright bi or pan bcs litteraly EVERYBODY around is drop dead gorgeous which makes it very easy to switch sides, and nobody really cares about gender/sex rules cares atp), religious/national and racial disputes (for obvious reasons)

And only thing that was needed was end of the world and a fucking apocalypse, lmao.

i think… it’s not so much that she SAW… i think sylus likes to spread rumours about himself to keep up the intrigue and keep everyone afraid and in line, yk?

i think he sees himself as a dragon. but not only that, he sees himself as an unwanted monster. so he keeps that role up because it’s easy for him to reach his goals and get intel that way.

that’s why the main story focuses on mc loving dragons and feeling sympathy with them. and sylus eventually learning to show parts of his dragon heritage(?) that he’s actually proud of. even in the abyssal chaos it’s mc who shows sympathy for “the evil dragon” and sylus is surprised and amused bc she would be the first to care about an evil dragon’s feelings. every single one of their stories revolves around her teaching him self love.

and i would hazard a guess that he does love his dragon identity but he often only sees the “evil” aspects others project onto him. but slowly (since i’ve been playing from his launch) we see he comes out of his shell and shows outwardly that he’s actually a sweet and softhearted guy.

sylus is doomed to play the villain but if you actually look at his actions he’s always supporting the little guy. he gets disappointed when he sees the negative desires of humans and their actions disgust him. it’s like being the harbinger of death while loving life. or a demon who likes doing charity and hates corruption.

his whole existence is a juxtaposition and he slowly finds a place to exist where he can just be himself and also play the role the universe has decided for him on his own terms. a true anti-hero.

He does see himself as a monster, that's why he is physically represented as one in the myths. Even in the latest event story, him and Mc were main roles in a play and he once again played "the devil".

In his myth, it's said he cut off his horns and tail multiple times. I saw that as him rejecting that part of himself because he was different and shamed for it. But then mc saw him for who he was and loved every part of him so there was no more need to hide.

One of my favorite artworks I did is mirroring of sylusmc relationship through time. Learning about eachother, getting comfortable in the same space and giving love unconditionaly. As time goes on he accepts himself more and more and only shows his soft side to mc <3

I don't know how many panels it will be honestly, 1 page+90% of other one got me 6 PANELS, i made 6 PAGES OF THIS SHIT OH GOSH, I'LL BE DEAD😭😭

The comic is +10 btw, there is nothing heavy really, is just, more grown up topics, so +10. There will be no kissing and all of that, but i don't think kids will get the point, and as stated before, I'm PROJECTING personal problems that they probably won't get.

I will do those probably 6 by 6 panels, and give myself a pause to draw other stuff i want and NEED🥹 there is mugman ref sheet for Golden masks AU i didn't even started bro, there are my original characters and comic, and others projects I'm trying to do, so, six panels, then pause and i will go back to them again
