i hate when artists don't know the pipeline of thin->fat because there are stages between the two! just because a character isn't visibly fat that doesn't automaticly make them thin.

Usually I don’t yap on tumblr, but I think this is something I definitely want to share here:

So I rewatched the splatoon raiders direct & while I knew that Frye’s been sitting on Mechanic’s pilot seat since Raiders’ reveal, I just realized how Frye’s not only sitting on mechanic’s seat- but it’s been altered so it’s moveable, which made me realize:

So not only did the Mechanic likely TEAR and YANK their pilot seat out of the helicopter itself, they took further and modified/fixed it themselves FOR HER? So she can sit comfortably wherever she likes??

I also noticed wherever it is that Frye’s sitting, they also left what seems like all their tools (or a majority) where she is, & their gloves??? Barely any, or as much are seen in Mechanic’s shack itself.

The concept of Mechanic leaving a majority of their tools + stuff wherever Frye’s sitting because they trust her so much and know they’re being watched over but also just so they have an excuse to be near Frye and come back over and over again to grab their things from wherever she’s seated… okay

I also made sure to check official accounts & videos for any other places they’ve put tools in, and there’s barely as much anywhere else.

ANALYSIS EPISODE 16 SEASON 11 OCTONAUTS [Macaque Episode]

It's not that long I promise lol

First two pictures near the start of the episode already had me a little worried... I think the translation is pretty on point so I won't interpret it.

but yeah they run into other macaques, and yknow how all the different species have kind of like their own cultures. based on their instincts and where they live (+ behaviors). That comes in a lot later. Also this whole episode at the start was:

"You're both monkeys, you both are the same!"

which I don't think they were talking about monkeys by the end of it. (rasicm and stereotypes.)

Any who transcription +inference on the translation b/c it is not accurate to the point.

'I am a macaque' (like 'I have had been a macaque', or yes 'I am one of them)'

"But I am no longer with the other macaques" (The translator gets the pronouns wrong a lot, but he's talking about himself.)

Now... Octonauts cast are VERY expressive. if you've ever just looked at the background characters (I like to rewatch) they put a LOT of effort in conveying emotion (probably b/c lack of eyebrows and very simple facial features) So eyes get used a LOT

Paani is clearly sad or thinking about som- OW OWO WW OW OMG OW. (I ripped off my nail just now) cont. but he is very much in his own world thinking about.. probably the other macaques (his family)

Also the 'no longer with them' shares that he definitely had some sort of life that got pretty lonely. (he's later described as an independent monkey macaques are SOCIAL monkeys.) WHICH is cool b/c when we first meet Paani he is entirely independent. If you looked closely he actually went through a subtle character arc.

He was VERY sentimental at the start (mainly to his equipment and that- that paddle board. but as time goes on I think he realized that the octonauts were far more important that any of his real belongings. He eventually doesn't get so attached, or in better words, not attached to unimportant replaceable objects and instead focus on those around him.. (HE LOST LIKE 3 PADDLE BOARDS)

YOU MADE IT TO THE END ! ! ! HERE'S THE FIRST PANELL (directly after the episode ends.) so if you don't read you don't get context, mwuahahaha.

The beginning didn't tell us much but it certainly tips something off that this episode is going to be... different.

Yin-Yang Facts!

I want to share some interesting Yin-Yang facts that not many people know or pay attention to! I will also include photos as evidence for my facts so you KNOW they're not just slop I came up with! Of course this will be a long one as I love talking about Yin-Yang! Especially to other people! Enjoyyy ♡🍬

Fun fact #1!!

Did you know Yang is afraid of merry go rounds? It's stated by Cabby that Yang is terrifed of merry go rounds in her Exit Interview!

It is also stated in Yin-Yang's Exit Interview as a question!

I find this very funny and it explains why Yang told Yin he was "Going too far" in episode 9 of season 3 when he himself is an embodiment of chaos!

Fun Fact #2!

It is well known that Yin-Yang loves Hatsune Miku, but did you know their voice actor, Marco Bonomo, also loves Hatsune Miku? Marco Bonomo has 222-223+ Vocaloid covers total on his second YouTube channel, Spaghetti2222. On the same channel, it is scene that he has been playing and or into the Project Diva fandom for around 12 years! Most of the people I've told this to actually never realized their VA loves Miku just as much, which is why I consider this a lesser known fact!

Fun Fact #3!

There's a headcanon by Marco that Yang likes battle shonen animes while Yin prefers horror animes, but, Yang has a secret liking for romance animes too! It's also stated in the same headcanon that Yang is actually scared of the animes Yin watches, so usually the two just watch what Yang wants to watch!

Fun Fact #4

Yin-Yang actually wasn't supposed to be on Inanimate Insanity! Their spot was supposed to be taken by Tune, another character that was recommended by Marco in BFDIA, but the Inanimate Insanity team had said that Yin-Yang was a better character! I find that really awesome, cause although we didn't get Tune, Yin-Yang probably wouldn't even be a known character if it wasn't for the II team!

Fun Fact #5!

Throughout Inanimate Insanity, Yin is represented by blue and Yang by red! There are multiple scenes throughout II and III where Yin is blue and Yang is red. This is likely because of water and Dr Fizz being blue and red. But it can also be seen with Yin being the peace of the two while Yang is the chaos of the two.

The background of this scene uses hints of blue and red that aren't noticed often because the main focus is Yin and Yang (mainly Yin)

In the comic "Butterflies" Yin and Yang are shown with blue and red backgrounds indicating who is speaking in the moment!
